I got home less than one hour ago, ordered a new website domain, installed cPanel and Wordpress, and then Steempress.

In case you haven't heard of it, Steempress is a Wordpress plugin that allows you to cross post an article from your blog onto the steem blockchain, instantaneously.

Steemians @howo and @fredrikaa can be thanked for putting this together. It's yet another step towards organic growth and use of the steem blockchain, which is far more than just a backend for minimum viable product steemit.com.

Anyone else using Steempress? I'd love to hear your experiences in the comments below.

Also, my book is free all weekend! Check it out in the link below.

Wow, good for you. What was the main driver behind wanting to get a blog? Are you planning on advertising there was well, or did you just want to see if you could do it?

No plan to advertise. I'm doing my best to showcase the many uses of steemit. Maybe I will do some talks locally or something; the fact is that the steem based apps are very powerful and not enough people know about them yet.

That's true. People probably don't know that they can post the things on their blogs onto Steemit too and get paid for it. There are a lot of features that a normal blog has regarding subscriptions and such that haven't yet been incorporated into Steemit (post notifications, etc...) but are hugely valuable for people who want to follow. By using some of the apps, you're able to reach new audiences. There will be some overlap between the two, but the more places you have a presence, the more likely you are to get eyeballs that are ready to take the next step.

Yes, and I need to set up an email system too so people can subscribe and I can occasionally reach out when I have a free book or something. A blog allows this.

Is your book geared more toward people who are brand new to crypto or is it for people who are already pretty knowledgeable about it?

Sorta both. I have some pretty basic tips in there, like "keep your private keys safe".

If you take a look at it (free!), I'd love to hear your thoughts on if it was helpful or not. I could probably have done better work determining my ideal reader.

That's actually why I asked, I figured if it was at a total-newbie level I would read it and do a book review for you :) But if it's at a level way over my head I wouldn't even attempt it haha. I'll download it anyway and then I can let you know!

Perfect-thanks!
Also, the book isn't necessarily a front to back read; you can read any chapter you find interesting as you like.

Holy crap, for the past two months I have been doing it the other way, create in Markdown for the charts and copy over to my site. I have a hard enough time creating content 1-2 a week, but this may help!

Glad to hear it-I'm excited to better index a lot of what I've written for steem, as scrolling through dozens of posts isn't the easiest way to access my stuff.

Well post a link to it when you have it ready to share!

What is the main facilities we get from steempress?

HOw is working?

It works well-the benefit of using steempress is having your own .com site to put your articles on if you want to have your own record of them.

Wow!
That's really great. Personal Website and where I Can write article. That's nice...

Is Steam Press Is save to use ??

I believe so.

You only give your posting key, so the worst they could do is drain your voting power.

That is part of the magic of multiple keys like steem has. :-)
