New to the Cryptocurrency

I have known about the cryptocurrency for sometime and never really got into it. Since my son had introduce me to it and told me about Electroneum. I have to admit I have been bitten by a bug that just has me captivated with all the possibilities that can be done with the block chains. Heck I have never thought of mining because it did not appease to me until I just started reading about it and boy that is one big rabbit hole.
