I live in Asia, so Coinbase works... But not always convenient since I keep a lot of money in Philippine banks. So, I like localbitcoins to buy... Not much more expensive than Coinbase is.

They use an escrow, so your transaction is safe.

Nice Alt-Coin list. How about STEEM though?
