How to Store Your Cryptocurrency Wallet Keys Without Waiting Eons For Cryptosteel

So you've been waiting forever to order Cryptosteel to securely store your cryptocurrency wallet keys. You hate painstakingly writing keys and passwords over and over again in multiple notebooks and placing them in what are hopefully secure places. You need to know how to store that all too valuable information. Cryptosteel appears to be eternally on back-order, and if a thief saw that, not even knowing what it was, he/she would probably snatch it. Regardless of the fact that the "would be" Cryptosteel thief will be unable to use it, it's gone, and now useless to you.

Maybe grab one of those old Android or iOS phones that's just sitting in the back of a drawer somewhere. It should have no SIM card and no Internet access whatsoever. Scan or photograph your keys and also passwords. Maybe you like to keep those on a USB that you only plug in when you need the keys or passwords, but just how secure is that? Of course the clunky old smartphone with an un-updateable version of Android could be stolen or physically destroyed in a number of ways, but those are different risks.

You could achieve something similar to Cryptosteel by encrypting your own USB - then use something like LastPass to generate the passwords.

Thanks! I'll look into that. I actually posted this in hopes of getting feedback on this issue. :)

I'd imagine that a lot of the cryptosteels' appeal is its ease of use - but none of that technology is inaccessible in a regular device from what I understand.
