Hopefully we don't get there, but now that we are struggling to hold the $1.60 area there is now a chance we could test the support of the lower range.
Buying on the Cheap???
Bottom line is if the price of steem cannot establish above this $1.60 area then we are now in the next lower range - that range has a downside of 80 cents.
I'd prefer not to see it, but if we do I'll probably buy some.
Let's hope for a rally in the entire crypto market instead!

I will be picking up steem if it gets to $1.00.
THEN OFF TO THE MOON WE GO!!!

If we’re buying to hold and power up, I wouldn’t be too concerned about the difference between $1.50 and 80c. These are great accumulation prices and the difference isnt going to matter on the next up leg.

I've been waiting for that level as well....but I'd settle for just about anything under a dollar. I heard a prediction that BTC could drop as low as $2,500 before the next surge. It will be interesting to see how low things go. Glad I'm not the only one with 80 cents on my mind!

Wow, 2,500...that would be interesting indeed. I've talked about scenarios that get us down to 4K, $2500 would not be fun lol.

If you planned on selling, no, $2500 or even $4000 would not be fun. But I enjoy thinking about what my favorite altcoins would be priced at of BTC dropped that low!

yeah been waiting for 0.8 zone too get more steem if it happen. Looks like a slow bleed with little bounce along the way till we hit there. If we do hit that level, i guess btc will breach the 5800-6000 level and gosh. What's the next support level after 0.8 that you see ?

Oh goodness, I don't even want to think about that. Below 80 there are some support levels before 20 cents, but that would be the next big base level.

On the contrary I am hoping for further weakness so I have a better entry into some of the positions I missed taking on the first wave of adoption. More Steem Power never hurts!

Yup, that is why I'd rather wait till 80 cents to get more or just not add if we never get that low.

Timing is everything.
I believe the bitcoin explosion will be too soon.
And then we will see alt-coins follow.
So, there won't be enough time for the bear pressures to push steem prices down much further.

I think there is a good chance we will reach those levels. I also might make my first purchase of Steem around 80c!

Funny thing is, the last bear market ended with a looong stretch where STEEM went more-or-less sideways, with a panic bottom at below 8 cents. The sideway stretch lasted about five months.
Seems that the best entry point is not a price, but a time: a stretch of three-or-so months when STEEM goes nowhere.

That's right, wait for it to form that long base and then when it finally starts to push up is likely a good time.

Why wait for .80 c If it gets close to 1.00 is a good time. Facebook people are going to be coming to steem in droves.

Simply because that is the next major support level on the price chart and when price is trending in a direction, the probability is it will get to the next level. Doesn't mean it will happen, but I just play the probabilities. Things needs to probably get ugly with BTC for steem to get to 80 cents, but anything can happen.

@scaredycatguide I have been listening to Mark @exyle talk about this everyday now for about a month and his target to buy more STEEM is if it gets below $1.00
I guess we will see what happens.
