Bitcache, the protocol designed by Kim Dotcom to allow micropayments of bitcoins in its next MegaUpload 2, has finally arrived, although in principle it comes as a partnership in beta for the most popular YouTubers.
Dotcom announced that starting next week would be available the initial version of its platform K.im (MegaUpload 2), which can now only be accessed with invitation; And will soon be undertaking an ICO to raise funds and complete its infrastructure.
Bitcache has been offered to YouTubers with at least 500 thousand subscribers, who must send to Dotcom their request to use this protocol, which allows to monetize the content. By integrating it, a donations button is added to the videos, through which subscribers can send micropayments as a reward.
K.im, on the other hand, users can upload their multimedia content and set a price (from a few cents to several dollars) for those who want to see it, which will be calculated in dollars but paid in BTC through Bitcache, a program aimed at Function as a kind of portfolio. On this we had already had an advance in April, although the date of availability was not yet very clear. Soon, after a long wait, all the users who were waiting for the return of MegaUpload will have it back from Bitcoin's hand.
Dotcom will wait for the initial versions of K.im and Bitcache to be tested before making official announcements about it. However, it should be noted that in October last year the MegaUpload 2 project managed to raise, through the online investment platform BnkToTheFuture, almost 900 thousand euros exclusively in bitcoins; Although its maximum goal exceeded 4 million euros. With the next ICO, Dotcom is undoubtedly planning to achieve that goal to complete the development of K.im and Bitcache; And has already predicted that it will be "massive."
