That coin, as it has - almost on purpose - no obvious purpose or hidden agenda (except to gain some profit, but hey - this is typical human bahavior, isn´t it), could well serve as a role model of how exchanges work in narrow, almost illiqid markets, how people are interacting (and maybe should not be interacting with), and generally how an ICO (or in future SMT) can develop. So it is a great playground, where you can learn a lot. The coins are so cheap at the moment, that the downward risk is quite limited (if you don´t invest too much :) ), but the upside potential is considerable if word about it (lots of posts using the #future24coin tag) spreads around. What else could you expect more from what has started as a fun project?

So it is a great playground, where you can learn a lot.

This is a great point - Investing in your education and knowledge is probably the best investment you can make.

But of course, the following quote from you is right as well:

The coins are so cheap at the moment, that the downward risk is quite limited , but the upside potential is considerable if word about it spreads around.

And there sure are some coins which started as a fun project and are now worth way more than the future24coin ever was.

And its still a project where you probably can do a lot with your own input and small investments. That makes it fun. Of course it will never be as popular as many other coins. But it still feels like belonging to a project from the beginning and learning while it grows.

PS: The maximum Token amount was raised one time to 21 Million, after I made a survey about it. Now it can´t be changed again and the maximum Token amount is 21 million forever.

The total supply says 21.000777 million, so I guess the 21 mio were added on top of the 777 ?

currently there are 11.763167 million Future24Coins circulating

Yes, that´s right with the 21.000777 @thefuturenow. 11.7 million circulating is not right, because I only have sent some coins to extra wallets, so that I have a better overview.

Well, why not? If it helps a buddy and you can have fun in the process then go for it.
A coin only has value if a group of people come together and say that it has.
Same as if we decided that mangoes were currency. Albeit with a rather short shelf-life... hmm... but then you could make the comment that 'Money DOES grow on trees' :)

I've come across an article about Future24Coins, where some of them sold their Future24Coins shortly after launch, even though they got them as a giveaway, actually legitimate, but it's not better to hold the coins, apparently Greed triumphs, I get annoyed about it each time, instead of actually helping with the price rises, is always sold the same. Just hope that those will be annoyed, as at the time when bitcoin, but the course might even be similar high

Ich bin schon mal über einen Artikel über Future24Coins gestolpert, wo einige bereits kurz nach dem Start ihre Future24Coins gleich verkauften, obwohl sie sie ja als give away erhalten haben, eigentlich ja legitim, aber ist es nicht besser die coins zu halten, scheinbar hat die Gier gesiegt, ich ärgere mich jedes mal darüber, anstatt eigentlich mit zu helfen das der Kurs steigt, wird immer gleich verkauft. Hoffe nur das sich diejenigen auch ärgern werden, wie damals beim bitcoin, sollte doch der Kurs vielleicht mal ähnlich hoch werden

Well, I can not blame some people for selling their coins they got from bounties. They did something for them and wanted to cash them out - that's their right.

But I guess it is good for all the others if those people who dont want to help grow the project sell right away. Better than having a crash later on ;)

Ich antworte mal für Alex, denn der ist immer sehr busy und hat deine Antwort bestimmt noch nicht gesehen, oder übersehen. xD Das ist ein guter Freund von mir hier aus Berlin, den ich schon vor Steemit kannte und er war quasi bei der Gründung vom Future24Coin Projekt live dabei, also von Tag 1 an onboard. 👍

C'est amusant de suivre l'évolution de cette crypto et surtout du débat collectif qui l'entoure sur steemit.

Pour ma part, j'en ai acquis quelques unes par le faucet de Future24.

Je me pose la même question que vous. Comment faire vivre cette monnaie? Car c'est bien la vie que nous lui attribuons qui déterminera sa valeur à venir.

On pourrait l'utiliser pour soutenir des projets caritatifs ou des initiatives liées aux pathologies rares dans le médical.

Créer de la valeur à partir de rien. Ca c'est une idée géniale.

Hello!
I am HODLing some Future24 coins, and am quite interested in this project for similar reasons, but mostly to support an enterprising fellow steemian (and diving enthusiast!). Is there a good place to monitor it's value? At times when I try to observe in the Waves Exchange, it cannot find the Future24 asset.

I did read the article, as well as the several linked (and I admit, I got lost linksurfing from there), and I think it's an interesting idea. I don't know if it will come to anything at all, and I found it even more interesting browsing the waves wallet site, and exploring what's going on there, but since I haven't really formatted all my thoughts though. so I can't decide if it will end up something I watch closely or just tuck away in a corner of my mind. I'm still more or less at a loss as to the point of making a currency on the waves blockchain, but I'm intrigued and I want to see where it goes. Also, watching the future24coin coins a s a kind of microcosm of larger crypto is fascinating, so I ended up following Future 24 (and you today, since you seem to find interesting things to see).

Still- I'm not sure what to make of it altogether just yet, so I didn't have a whole lot of substance to contribute unfortunately.

I am currently holding 52 Future24Coins and the reason is:

because I saw that the token creator was active here on steemit (and posted a few times about the token).

There are currently 6509 tokens available on the WAVES platform

and most of them are just tests, name-reserving, ...

so I assumed this token might have some potential in the future... depends of course on next steps.
