There's a big chance that Verge will take over as the standard in privacy crypto.

Hi Valderrama,

We respectfully disagree with this outlook, although we would be curious to see why you think Verge will overtake Monero as a privacy coin.

Our main point about Verge will be regarding the "Blackpaper" (Whitepaper) as found at https://vergecurrency.com/assets/Verge-Anonymity-Centric-CryptoCurrency.pdf

The Whitepaper only talks about the Verge coin using Tor, and I2P. These are protocols being used in order to mask the IP address of users of the currency, this provides very little privacy, and certainly does not make the currency either untraceable, fungible, or private. I can follow a coin just as I can with bitcoin, seeing where money goes from wallet to wallet, the only offering Verge has is that I can't see an IP address with it.

Beyond these two features of IP masking the whitepaper provides no additional features. Thus CTA would not recommend investing in Verge either long term or short term.
