It is good to be back! Last week I have been much away from Steemit only posting color challenge posts. Last week has been my steemit detox week as I have been sick for a couple of days. Might be because of lack of sleep, because after work I post on Steemit. Last week was a well needed rest. Let's cut to the chase and start, time to check out our holdings.
It has been a red day today for cryptocurrencies, 96 of the 100 top coins on coinmarketcap are in red at the moment and Bitcoin at the moment is at $12,000. Ripple is now at $1.44 after achieving an all time high a couple of weeks ago. Ethereum is well surpassed $1000 is now at $1,100. The total marketcap right now is $583,888,055,382. 200 billion short of the total marketcap last edition. I am excited to see my experiment cryptocompare portfolio right now that the most of the coins are in red. Without much more to say let us start.
What is Cryptocurrency HODL?
It is a fantasy style of holding cryptocurrencies per edition I have an imaginary $100 to invest in my choice of crypto. The main goal of this is to see if investing in crypto is profitable in the long term. We buy the crypto with no trend analysis, we buy in maybe on a dip, or when it is at its All Time High.

Looking at the stats recap our holding took a massive hit with a $1,100 loss at the current time. Cardano is still the top dog with a $1000+ profit, but taking a hit from last week with an $800 loss. Rounding up the top 3 is Stellar, and VeChain. Wow our Vechain investment is doing good with a $275 profit, with its upcoming rebranding might pump the price more. Now for the first time we have a complete set of losers this week. Rounding up the losers is Regal Coin, our biggest loser last week too. What a miserable investment haha. Our $50 investment is now down to $2. Rounding up the losers is Litecoin and Power Ledger. Litecoin and Power Ledger are solid investments and I have no worries that it will turn into profit in the future just HODL! Regal Coin I am not to sure about that.
That rounds up the recap for this week. Let us now invest our imaginary $100.

Cryptocurrency really are risky investments, basing from your experiment your total portfolio or holdings has taken a $2000 hit. $2000 is a lot of money already I can think of stuff what I can buy with that kind of money haha. Yes anything can happen, that is why do not invest what you can afford to lose, all the money I have put into cryptocurrency I consider it lost, it will be good if I profit. I hammered that into my mind, even though the dip is strong I do not worry. As I consider it all lost from the start. Yes back then when my investments on cryptocurrency I panicked sold after a couple of days and with going down a bit

I have never experienced that, my only holdings are so far steem and sbd ehich I just convert to bitcoin when cashing out on coins.ph yes bitcoin was 20,000 last month look at it now just over 10,000 USD already. Well you really are a great engager to your followers :)

Good, solid, honest advice. Invest what you can afford to lose. Take some profits along the way and hold the free coins after you have taken a free ride for the long term. 2018 should be a great year for BTC and alts as it goes more mainstream. Get cold storage for your coins and take them off the exchanges.
