Unfortunately - I don't have much knowledge of the EEA. However; if I were to make a naive guess at the consequences - it's my gut feeling that as blockchain becomes better understood by the general public there will be a push away from simple transaction tracking based implementations (ala BitCoin and it's trivial clones) and towards feature-linked implementations (ala Steem, Ethereum, Zencoin (when it's released), etc).
So - improvements to how Ethereum can be integrated with more traditional enterprise environments is good for it's long-term prospects.
That being said - I doubt these changes are worth trying to hedge bets against right now due to the very high volatility.
