Mining doesn't HAVE to be super complicated, you can do it on your phone! Check out http://www.MinerGate.com and the MinerGate app on Android (sorry, no iOS version). Mining on your phone will tax your battery and might overheat your phone so maybe not the best thing to do on your new $600 Samsung phone but perfect task for your old phone. You're not going to earn BIG MONEY mining on your phone but it's a good way to deep your feet in the process.
