QUESTION: WHAT IS THE HOTMAIL OF BITCOIN WALLET

hello all
I am looking for info on what wallet to use for bitcoin. I know this question is answer every where but i did not find a awser from a reliable source.
From my understanding wallet are like a e-mail address for your money . when i have create my firs email i have go to hotmail because it was the one that was making more sense at that time did not have a lot of competition . it was the logical choice.

I am looking for a hard wallet and a desktop one.
here some question can you create a hard wallet with any usb?
the hard wallet is mainly to store them in a safe place.
Desktop wallet will be more to practice my interaction with crypto currency maybe have more than one just to play with it
