With a 2-0 victory over GODSENT in the semi finals, Natus Vincere advanced to the grand final of ICE Challenge where they will face mousesports.
At their first LAN with Ilya "Perfecto" Zalutskiy, Natus Vincere have shown respectable form and secured three BO3 victories, however, it is tomorrow's BO5 match against Finn "karrigan" Andersen's squad that will show how good the latest roster is against the top teams.
The series was off to a spectacular start as on Overpass, GODSENT's pick, force buys were traded back and forth. Natus Vincere won the CT pistol, but plays like Martin "STYKO" Styk's triple kill with a Scout or Perfecto's 1v2 clutch resulted in a 4-4 scoreline. The CIS side then finally managed to stabilize, and with three successful retakes in a row, got control of the economy and pushed into the lead.
Aleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev was a consistent fragging factor in the first half, but it was the clutches of Denis "electronic" Sharipov that proved crucial in Natus Vincere finishing the half with a strong advantage, 10-5. That scoreline was extended with a successful B push on the T pistol by Natus Vincere, who were unstoppable on the offense, shortly closing the deal with a 16-7 win.
Things continued where they left off on Train as Natus Vincere, again on the CT side, started dominantly. Kirill "Boombl4" Mikhailov was inspired early on, picking up kills and avoiding death round after round. His team gave up just four kills to GODSENT as they ran up an 8-0 lead before STYKO's triple on an A push brought an end to Natus Vincere's streak.
By winning an eco in round 12, the international team got back into the match, eventually breaking Natus Vincere's economy and securing their sixth round on the offense after a 2v2 situation won by Jesse "zehN" Linjala and Pavle "Maden" Bošković. GODSENT then claimed the CT pistol, but dropping the anti-force saw s1mple's team regain momentum, 13-9.
A saved AWP on Mikail "Maikelele" Bill was the catalyst for GODSENT winning the following round on a low buy, starting a three-round streak going their way. electronic's sneaky triple prevented GODSENT from equalizing the scoreline and Natus Vincere just barely kept in front for the rest of the game, closing it out 16-13 to take the series victory.
