Art & tech

in culture •  8 years ago

As i sat wondering what to write my first blog on, it dawned on me. Thats what i'll write about "artists and the struggle with adatping to technology". My name is ryan "ace 84" youtube name, im a artist(drawling, painting, guitarist, bassist, xterme sports, youtuber, new blogger). This is my first blog ever. Being an artist words, culture, music, visual art, come natural for me. What doesn't come natural to me is tech, computers, blogs, email, social media , apps and exses. Admittedly i have had to develop these skill threw trial and error, with little to no luck. Which leads me to my point.
Artists are not normally the best blogger or very computer savy for that matter. Not to say that the computer savy artists doesn't exist, for example most computer programmer's fancy themselves as artist rightfully so. You see art isn't just a painting, a drawling, a song or a book. Being a artist is a way of looking at life. Its a way of precieving the world. It's all about experimenting and giving back, Creating and adapting. Which leads to my point, that i believe steemit is going to be a very important tool to the future development of art, music and culture. Allowing the artist a easy well put together program to express one self honest and uncensored. Connecting with other from around the world opens up doors for potential and expand our minds and hearts. Allowing us to explore a world of different opinions, cultures, believes and at times yes even unwarrented negitivity. Which all help us further grow as human beings, as well as artists. It allows us to filter what we believe is right or wrong and form and develop our own thoughts, believes and opinions. That is why i believe steemit will be a great opportunity for artists to get their name, art, and ideas out into the ever vast world. Not to say there are no challages as a artist on a decenteralized platform, such copy right issues among others. money isn't as important as the art. What are you thoughts on art and technology emerging. Let me know leave comments, after all it will be helpful on constructing my view about steemit and other similar sites.

Ace,

I like what you have to say, but my only criticism, is that your post could use some more formatting. There's a quick guide that helped me out, and it adds a nice touch to a well thought out article.

Concerning what you wrote, I agree! I take my photography very seriously, so I'm very excited to see where it could lead me on Steemit. I'm embracing the idea of decentralizing things a lot as of late, I mean who hasn't, with all the buzz about altcoins.

It seems all we can do is wait and see what the future holds.
