Accreditation Behind Lemon and Chilies In front of Doors

in culture •  7 years ago

I can believe that most of the present here would have seen the hang of lemon and chilies in front of a shop, in front of the house doors or in a vehicle. People said that there are two types of accreditation behind it. The first one is scientific reason and the second one is myth the culture.

  • Scientific reason:
According to science some dangerous mosquitoes, ants, fly never comes near because they doesn’t like lemon and chili smells or fragrance but i saw a fly which was sitting just behind it hence i captured it in my smartphone. Anyone can see the fly in bellow image:

I have captured this image from a shop where i was for some personal reason.

  • The Indian Culture Behind it:

Lemon and chilli is used to keep safe from evil spirits. Shopkeepers prefer this because it is one of the best food for Alakshmi ( Sister of goddess Lakshmi ). Actually Goddess Lakshmi and Alakshmi are sisters. Hope someone has marked that in a photo of Goddess Lakshmi there is always a owl and also known as Alakshmi. Alakshmi represents poverty and pain and she likes sour and chilies food but Goddess Lakshmi likes sweet hence we offer sweets inside the room so that Goddess Lakshmi enter inside house and Alakshmi becomes busy taking lemon and chilies. If Goddess Lakshmi entered into the room it means the shopkeeper may get prosperity and wealth also business will run fast.

I have to try this one making a cover photo for my steemit account and hope there would be the same goodness for me which is far away from me this time.
