Today, last day of Chinese New Year – 农历新年的最后一天

Guys, it's Chap Goh Mei today! In a blink of an eye, fifteen days of Chinese New Year celebration is going to be an end. We have to wait for another year for this biggest festival of the year. 朋友们，今天就是元宵节了。感觉上这么眨了一眼就来到农历新年的最后一天了。开心的日子真的过得特别快呀！过了今天，就要等多一年啦。这十五天里，你们都捞生了多少次了呢？

Chap Goh Mei, is actually Hokkien dialect which means is the 15th day of Chinese New Year. It is also known as Chinese Valentine's Day in Malaysia. I think Chinese people are the most romantic, simply because we celebrate three Valentine's Day in a year. The famous 14th of February where the Valentine's Day celebration is worldwide. The second time Chinese celebrate Valentine's Day is Chap Goh Mei, the 15th day of Chinese New Year. And the third time we celebrate Valentine's Day is on a day Chinese people called Qixi festival, which falls on the 7th day of the 7th month on the lunar calendar. However, Qixi festival is very much celebrated in China, but not in Malaysia.

Chap Goh Mei其实是福建话，意识就是新年第十五天。在马来西亚，这天也称为华人情人节哟。我觉得华人是全世界最浪漫的。因为华人一年会庆祝三个情人节。第一个就是全球都会庆祝的二月十四情人节。接下来就是今天，元宵节。然后就是在农历七月七日，七夕节，也就是牛郎织女的见面日。

Today, Chap Goh Mei, single ladies will make a wish and throw mandarin oranges into the river or lake, hoping that their Mr Right will scoop up their oranges. Before the ladies throw the oranges into the river or lake, they will use some waterproof marker pen to write down their contact information on the orange, such as mobile number, FB username, Insta name and perhaps, now, Steemit ID. Single man will gather around the lake and try their best to scoop the oranges and hoping that they will get some contacts of prospects.

今天元宵节，在马来西亚，单身女郎会去到河边，湖边或海边，手握着甘，许愿后就把手上的甘抛进湖，河或海里，期望可以早日找到如意郎君。在还没抛甘前，女郎们会用防水笔把联络方式写在甘皮上，如脸书，电话卡吗，电邮地址，或Steemit户口名字。单身男人就会想尽办法把甘捞上来，希望甘的主人能够成为自己的另一半。

If Chap Goh Mei falls on weekend, a Lion Dance freak like me will usually make my way to China Town in Kuala Lumpur (Petaling Street) early in the morning. There will be non-stop Lion Dances, and Dragon Dances from morning until the afternoon. Sometimes few Lion Dance performed concurrently, which forced me to make the choice which one to enjoy.
