Chocolate Cupcake

A chocolate sponge cake with chocolate flavour frosting, filled with chocolate sauce and topped off with a dark and white chocolate roll.

This cupcake is really chocolatey. It looks like it’s packed full of flavour. I do get the strong aroma of chocolate. Smells divine! I pick off the chocolate roll and it tastes very nice. I don’t really like dark chocolate, but when it’s in which the white chocolate, it tastes good and not too bitter. The frosting has a very good depth of chocolate flavour and the texture is nice, thick and smooth. The chocolate sponge is lovely and I really like the chocolate sauce in the middle. The sauce is just the right consistency for the cake and it definitely brings the whole cupcake together.

I thought this cupcake was going to be my least favourite out of the three. In actual fact it came a close second to the salted caramel one. If you love chocolate, you will love this cupcake. It is very rich in flavour. I could eat a few of these washed down with a pint of fresh milk! This is one heavenly cupcake.

This one does look very nice, elegantly decorated. The icing looks much smoother than the strawberry one you posted about. It sounds delicious too. Today and tomorrow I bake for valentines day and sell them at my local corner store :) I hope they go quick. I will be posting about it later in the week ^_^

For the store Im making basic items as the people here lack great pallets lol always basic chocolate and vanilla. And if they want better they dont want to pay for it. So really just small cakes, cupcakes and mini cupcakes. For a customer I am making something very nice. A vanilla and strawberry shortcake decorated with smooth frosting, fresh strawberries dipped in white chocolate and semi sweet chocolate drizzled on top of those strawberries with a dollop of caramelized nuts :)
