Visit becquerel.io to see a record of the most recent posts upvoted through Curie curator/reviewer operations and leave thoughtful comments on them for your chance to win!
@curie also leaves an automated comment on all posts upvoted through Curie curator/reviewer operations, so alternatively you can visit the @curie blog comments to find eligible upvoted posts to comment on.

How do I sign up?

There is no need to sign up to be eligible for the main contest prizes. Simply commenting on posting upvoted through Curie curator/reviewer operations makes you eligible for the Curie Comment Contest. There is an OPTIONAL Comment Contest Signup which is not required for the main contest prizes. See below for more.

The contest week will run from Sunday 15:01 UTC through Sunday 15:00 UTC

Curie will use an algorithm that evaluates comments on both quantitative and qualitative metrics. This means that in addition to the number of Curie-upvoted posts that you comment on, the quality of your comments will also factor into the score. In addition we will look at other metrics designed to measure engagement with the authors that Curie upvotes.

Random Prize Placements - rules & eligibility

Up to five x 1 Steem prizes will be paid out to users who both sign up for the optional contest signup as described above and comment on at least five Curie upvoted posts in the contest week. Users who qualify for one of the 20 normal prize payout positions are not eligible for the random prize placements. If more than five users satisfy these criteria, the five winning placements will be chosen randomly.

Even a 15 SP brand new plankton account can leave five comments in a week, so this is a chance for everyone to participate and possibly win some Steem for engaging with the authors curated by Curie.

THE EXACT ALGORITHM AND METRICS USED TO GENERATE THIS SCORE WILL NOT BE REVEALED TO HINDER ATTEMPTS TO GAME THE CONTEST

That being said, for reference here are the top 20 commenters by # of posts commented on for this contest week, as well as the total character count of those comments and the replies generated.

Continued interaction

with Curie upvoted authors beyond the initial post commented on is another factor. So remember to follow the authors and comment on their new posting as well to score the maximum number of points!

PRIZE STRUCTURE - Win up to 10 Steem!

Curie Comment Contest winners will be announced in a weekly post. In addition to the prize payout structure outlined below, the weekly champion will receive an honorary role in the Curie Discord server of "Comment Champion". Bragging rights!

1st place (Curie Comment Champion): 10 Steem
2nd place: 8 Steem
3rd place: 6 Steem
4th & 5th places: 5 Steem each
6th & 7th places: 4 Steem each
8th & 9th places: 3 Steem each
10th place: 2 Steem
Honorable Mentions (11th through 20th): 1 Steem each*

*A minimum of 5 @curie -upvoted posts must be commented on during the contest week to qualify for prize payouts. In the event that less than 20 users comment on 5+ posts, there will be fewer than 20 payout positions.

Random Prize Placements (must have registered Steem account for Curie contest as described above and commented on minimum 5 Curie upvoted posts): 1 Steem

Total weekly prize pool: 82 Steem/ 20 payout positions + up to 5 Steem for random prize placements

Spam Comments will NOT be rewarded

The comment history of all winners will be manually reviewed for spam before any prizes are paid out. Short generic comments that could have been left without reading the post will not qualify for the Curie Comment Contest. Examples of spam comments include (but are not limited to): "Nice post"; "I like your post"; "Nice picture"; "Good song"; "Great story", etc.

EGREGIOUS SPAM COMMENTERS WILL BE REPORTED TO STEEMCLEANERS

A few words of advice on leaving good, thoughtful comments

- tell the post author what in specific you liked about the post, why you liked it and/or how it made you feel. If your comment is so generic that it could have been left without reading the post, it will not qualify for the Curie Comment Contest.

Hi @stef1. I just received the prize few minutes ago. Though, I got 8 Steem instead of 10 as mentioned on this post. I see you got 10 instead of 12. It looks like there was an adjustment to the prizes. 😊

Thank you @macolette, I just seen and you are right it seems that the new prize structure was used instead of what was supposed to be, no idea if someone did not pay attention or it was intention. Probably we never will find it out. I am grateful for your feedback :)

There is a mismatch on this post. There is a portion that states the lower prizes while the prize beside our names are higher. I am not sure if the author of this post noticed that.

Hi @curie, thank you for this awesome contest and the rewards. I just received the contest rewards. But it only 6 Steem. And not the 8 steem as announced in this contest. Is it any adjustment in the rewards? Thank you!!

They left this answer, toward the top of the Post:

That is their COMMENTS log. So if you click the link....see their comments.... Follow the comments to the posts that have been upvoted.....you will know you are on eligible Posts.

Yes, it seems your post isn't getting "curried". Maybe they are good, but need to be a little better.

But they are still supporting you. Maybe they have a vote that gives to a trail. When someone else gives you a vote, that trail, then curie follows and gives a small vote also. (But their small vote is still bigger than many minnows votes. So lets be happy!!)

I noticed you've been upvoting my posts twice in a row already! Wow 💕🦋🦋🦋 I felt the butterflies in my tummy hehehe... thank you @curie for appreciating my post, or rather, my embarrasing voice haha! I just couldn't believe that there'll be someone that would really take time to watch my video other than my beloved sister @evlachsblog 😅 who's been my avid fan ever since wahahah and in fact, the guitar I own now came from her. So when I got her gift, I thought of sharing my happy times with my guitar here in Steemit, and not expecting for anything. It's a bonus to me when somebody appreciates it. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you! ❤

My Congratulations to all the commentators for taking part in the contest!

Thank you very much @curie for organizing this wonderful Comment Contest and this is a honor to be able to reach the First place! It was a nice time, that I enjoyed very much and I must say it is a hard time to keep the pace and it is really a job to do thoughtful comments. I would like with this note to let all the commentators know that I will not be your competitor anymore and will let the others to reach the peak of the contest.

For you, @curie team, I just wanted to share my childhood memory. When I was in summer camp we had an event when we were able to receive a voucher for our skills like singing, dancing, story telling or sport activities, for voucher we could buy anything on a camp bazaar. One moment when I had a voucher and was thinking what to buy for it, few other children run over and just grabbed it from my hand, I was very upset, the next moment there was one of the female teacher who was dressed as a gypsy with other children in the same outfit, they came over and cheered me up, took me with and shared their vouchers with me. That moment I understood how important it is to be a part of community, that you are stronger together.

Wooooooohooooooooooo!! 😍

Last week was my first ever @curie engagement I have done throughout my Steemit Life! I hace always read about it but never really pay attention to it till recently. I just wanted to try it out. And I made it somehow!

You dont know how much this made me happy! Really I am ecstatic! Actually I had been waiting from sunday if you'd post this update already. I was wondering if I ever made it to the cut.. and I did!!!

Thank you so much @curie for boosting everyone to keep being active in the field. I will keep making and joining the comment engagement. I do love and enjoy hopping from one post to the other. And of course meeting new people..

It was and is a great opportunity! Hope this week Ill do better even if I seem to be busy with all the parties.. hehe
