Wise words from Steven Crowder:

And some GOAT voice impersonations too.

Really good message about sleeping on it and not being quick to cannibalize your own side, just to prove something to the mob.

If you're unbiased and open-minded, that will naturally show to anyone who is worth showing it to.

You don't need to make assumptions and jump off the bridge because they're doing it.

The left is literally an ideology of violence and aggression and dependency and control.

To whatever extent they have an ideology, it's basically that, as far as I can tell.

(Little of what they stand for, especially given that they don't seem particularly anti-war anymore, is accomplished voluntarily without the use of force.)

Neither side is perfect, but where the right is often drawing inspiration from principle and specific ideas and values, the left is more predominantly about tinkering with the way people feel and react to things.

It's like if you have Tom Brady, your team will evolve to operate around knowing you have him.

If you don't have such an epic QB, naturally you have to find other ways to get it done and you evolve differently with different strengths.

The left becomes far more focused and "skilled" at fucking with people and manipulating narratives.

Their ideology is basically a tactic.

It's whatever works right now in the moment to make people agree and side with them, and in turn win political control and keep getting the money they depend on.

(Or at least, I'd be curious to hear a laundry list of what specifically they stand for and consider to be good and right.)

People on the right typically lean on actual things. Their ideals of freedom of speech, freedom of the press, non-violence, free markets, hard work, strong families, whatever whatever.

Even if you don't perfectly agree with all of that, they're predominantly inspired by what they do believe and value.

So the right just isn't really in the business of manipulating and obfuscating and creating an emotional reaction. Even if they do it sometimes, they don't depend on it and grow to be as focused on it as the left does.

For the left, it's their predominant thing.

So it really should be no surprise that if you see [two people standing there], that the adult man leftist (who conveniently enough happened to have a drum with him) rather than the conservative teenager is maybe actually the one who initiated it and CNN just reported it irresponsibly and incorrectly.

Shouldn't be stunning.

And to Crowder's point, you certainly shouldn't rush to agree with the left just to prove that you're fair.

Being unfair against someone who happens to be white and conservative isn't being fair.

That's just being bamboozled by their cray cray.

It's okay. They're pros at it. You learned.

It's like when people manipulate the self-checkout registers at the grocery store, the grocery store keeps learning and getting better.

People love appeasing the left.

It's like if someone is holding a gun, there's a tendency to want to buddy up with him and get him to see you as the least offensive of the lot.

Appease the loonies. They're the ones who might go nuts and kick and scream, whereas the reasonable people will handle disagreement better.

But of course, the best impact you can have on your world and on your self is to stay true to what seems accurate and right.

And more specific to this, you shouldn't want to help damage a teenager's reputation and fuel a psychotic reaction against him, just because the mouth-breathers are up and at it. Real people get hurt by it.

Pause, get the facts.

You don't actually get killed for it anyways these days.

I mean, you might get killed by a leftist. But your odds don't really go up or down based on how principled you are.

It's just leftover tribal instincts that make us feel like appeasement helps us.

Thinking and being accurate is what actually helps us, today in civilized society.

Racistttttt

It's endlessly funny to me that anyone would assume the teenager is the one causing the problem. If you did that (or worse, if you continue thinking that after seeing the full video), you're kind of obviously racist.

Not necessarily in a rooted or really hateful way. More just in a mind-fucked by the MSM kind of way.

If both people are standing there, you don't actually know who approached who.

If because of the skin colors involved you think you know, guess what? You're a racist.

(And as it turns out, the adult man with a history of political activism who was premeditated enough to have a drum with him, rather than the high school student on a field trip, was the one who initiated it. Absolutely stunning, isn't it? πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚)

Quacks.

I watched all the video from that event and it is so clear, perfectly clear, they misrepresented the maga kids.

What else is new right?

Who cares about truth when you can just force the facts to fit your narrative, like a square peg through a round hole.

Their narrative:

Maga = racist.
People of colour cannot be a$$holes.
Women are NEVER lairs.

Conclusion

Like you say, just listen to both sides and THEN decide who you support and believe... But nope that is not simple enough.

Yup!!

What else is new right?

Pretty much sums it up lol.

This Nathan Phillips thing is maybe a more obvious or clear example of what they constantly do.

A little bit of an 'oops' or an over-reach.

Maga = racist.

And it's such a projection.

Racism and racial division is basically a driving factor of theirs, whereas MAGA has actual beliefs (of free markets, free speech, etc etc).

People of colour cannot be a$$holes.
Women are NEVER lairs.

The privileged class :)

I agree, they project. Some white men are racists, toxic and problematic... Most are not. Most are fine and reasonable and striving to be better everyday.

Same with women. Same with coloured folk, like me.

Identity politics washes away all that nuance. Pesky troublesome nuance...
