Hi Steemit--

My name is Karen Thompson, I am the shipping manager for the Curtis Wilson Cost Gallery on Maui. Below is a photo of my boss, Curtis Wilson Cost.

I first met Curtis when I moved up to Kula in the early 90's, since then I always wanted to get one of his originals before the price went went up too high for me to afford. As luck would have it I did end up getting my first Curtis Wilson Cost original. We traded my husband's concrete masony skills, and a ton of cement for an original. Since Curtis was looking to put in a new driveway at the time, we both felt it was a good trade! Curtis even let us pick the setting for the painting. The photo above is the spot we choose for the painting. The spot is the old abandoned sugar mill train station up above Ho’okipa, right past the old Maui High school.

Here is a picture of the original finished painting below.

The painting above is completely refurbished with a new Blue Silk Liner and a Hawaiian Koa Filet. When Curtis came in for signing today he touched it up one final time before we discussed varnishing it and possibly adding some plexi-glass to protect it. This Original is not for sale, for more information about Curtis Wilson Cost artwork check out the website: http://www.costgallery.com Our Gallery is currently having a Pre-Pub promotion on his latest original, Keawala'i.

Keawala’i, an original oil on canvas, is the latest original he is working on. Below is a short video by Curtis that shows the progression of his latest original. Follow the progress on his Blog
