Today I made this custard cake because i was feeling so blue.Finally homesick with all the snow storms and extended lockdowns
It is just a matter of combining your custard pudding recipe with sponge cake in a baking pan then steaming it or baking it to 300 degrees for 15 min.
Some few secrets I find online includes:
A. When caramelizing for the custard better use brown sugar and let it melt on its own without stirring over low fire.
B.slowly add the cake mixture to the custard slowly.
C.If you opt to steam it ,make sure that its boiling temperature then slowly decrease the fire.
D. For meringue ,make sure the mixer and the bowl are without oil or water so best to rub it with vinegar or lemon.
