Ever wondered how the weather will be in the area you’re travelling to? Well, should you be traveling from Stockholm Arlanda Airport, you might have the ability to experience that. The new Climate Portal accessible at the Arlanda Airport enables the travelers to experience the weather from other places in real time via a weather simulation.
The Climate Portal hosts three different rooms for users. Each of these rooms provide the user with the ability to host the weather condition of another place on earth. The rooms are themed around different notions like ‘hot’ or ‘chilly’. Hot notions would suggest also the weather state as seen in desserts of the world. Chilly would apply for encounters of snowy realms and mountain-like climate. One of the rooms would also suggest the state of large cities elsewhere in the world.
Several weather services tracking the weather stations around the world are used for the model of these weather conditions in real time. These weather services are connected to by the portal site and the data is subsequently interpreted into the real world using the technology within the units.
Alongside the temperature changes, the portal sites are also capable to model wind gusts and supply the user with images and audio that depicts the weather condition in each place respectfully.
