Cervélo Canada Cup, Stage 4

in cyclingforsteemit •  7 years ago  (edited)

Yesterday was Stage 4 of the Cervélo Canada Cup - this race went much much better than Stage 3.
As I mentioned in my previous post re: Stage 3, I spent some time tuning the trainer to see if I could get some consistent results. Happy to say that throughout stage 4 I had zero issues throughout the entire ride - other than being completely exhausted and ready to faint by the end, but that is what I was hoping for.

I've attached my Strava results - not very good but still.. I've now got a decent baseline for future efforts. A fellow rider also did this race and he came in 38th. I was 144th out of 210 riders - definitely a huge room for improvement.

Heading over to Zwift Ranking I could find my race stats, which is pretty cool. Here is a screen grab of their posting.

Fortunately I had a fantastic recovery meal:

The final, Stage 5 is set for Wednesday. I'll post the results most likely the following day.

Have a great week everyone!

Nice ride, I've never been a fan of indoor trainers, but this Zwift stuff seems to be quite fun, maybe I'll give it a try someday - the trainers are pretty expensive. 205W average is pretty good too.

Thank you! The indoor training is more of a last resort alternative to not being outside in the rough weather. I'm concerned that the visibility of drivers is more limited and have slick roads will result in a crash. That and the wear and tear that the mud, dirt, and salted roads do to the drive train. Zwift definitely adds a great element of fun to indoor training - I love that it syncs with Strava and you can have a friend competition with others.
