Happy festive season to everyone and may it bring joy and peace to all. I started reading a Bible plan on YouVersion today and it's just for 10 days. I will be sharing this plan called The Hope of Christmas with you and I hope you gain something from it too.

Day 2
Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily. But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.

Jesus in Greek means **Joshua
Joshua means The Lord saves
Therefore, Jesus means The Lord Saves.
This I what I had learnt today while reading the Bible plan.
A name is very important in a life that is why I always potty those who do call themselves bad names because in one way or the other, it will reflect in their lives.
Back to the topic.
Jesus was a name given by the Holy Spirit because it's a name with a mission which is to save save the world. There was none with that name Jesus before He was born as a man and the name have a power impact, that some people will name their child jesus now.
All the names of Jesus that was pronounced by the Holy Spirit were with a purpose and another example is Emmanuel which means God with us.
Do not allow yourself to be called a bad name. Let your life reflect a good name and let your light shine.
