Speak Life!

Our words have power, it can be life-changing or life-threatening. Our daily devotional for today is from Proverbs 18:21

" The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit."

When I was in Grade School, that's almost ages ago. hahaha. I sometimes find myself lazy to go to school. There are really days that I cannot lift myself and come to class. Purposely, I will tell my mother that I am sick. I vaguely remember, there is one day that I even put garlic or onion, under my armpit because, I read somewhere that it can make your temperature go higher. Those excuses happened for a quite number of times. I just realized one time that when I told my mother I was not feeling well just so I won't go to school. Mid day I felt that I was some kind of sick already. I feel headache and literally not feeling well. So what happened to me is a Self Fulfilling Prophecy.

Words have power! When we speak of something over and over again, like in memorizing a poem or a song, it somehow becomes a part of us. That's why we even have the term LSS or the Last Song Syndrome, when a music is repeatedly heard, it goes to our subconscious mind thus we can even hear ourselves singing without consciously doing it. That logic goes the same when we speak of something good or bad to ourselves and to others. I, being a mother sometimes feel guilty that out of tiredness, and sometimes frustrations, I would scold my childre,n and speak not good words to them. I know those words would have made an impact to their lives and how they will live when they grow up.

As a mother, I only want what's the best for them. So I would like to speak them good qualities, speak words of encouragement, speak words of success. I know sometimes it's hard but, these things we have many times taken for granted of. These simple yet crucial thing, that can make or break someone's life.

Consequently, we need to also speak affirmations to ourselves that we haven't done on a regular basis because of our busy schedule. As lucrative as it is, we need to make daily affirmations like I'm Beautiful, I'm handsome, I'm Successful, I'm generous, etc. Like being LSS to these affirmations, I believe that it will make a big impact in to our lives today and tomorrow.

It's affirmative that bulk of our success will come from our mind, but we need to make it work for us. We need to teach our mind and feed it with good intentions.

Good idea. however do keep in mind that its not just this LSS that the mind needs to get. we must also act towards what we want to achieve. This reaffirming via repeated calling works in ensuring we don't stray from our path but we do need to walk the path.

Keep writing good stuff.

Definitely! These are just a starting ground to teach our minds. Like the saying goes "what the mind can conceive, the body can achieve". Thank you for your kind words. God bless @anantshri
