So as we all know the whole crypto scene is in the toilet at the moment which is a bit of a shame because the technology behind it and it’s application is actually pretty damn awesome - BUT - that being said, it’s an awesome time to pick up some of your favourite potential platforms futures as a very cheap price — I’m certainly aiming to get some whole coins for litecoin, dash and gbyte (yes, I’m a byteball fan now)
It’s hard to believe that I’m already ninety videos deep on @dtube now but I’ve been really enjoying posting there — kinda weird but that little bit of incentive (which you don’t always get btw) is a completely different relationship experience than posting it on youtube — it’s funny to me how platforms can have a ‘feel’ about them.
What do I mean? Well let’s take the feeling I get when I post on youtube — it’s a old boy storage system that’s been around the block, scanning your content for copyright infringement, not paying you anything unless you have a 1000 followers and even then you have to have certain amount of views, oh and then you don’t get that for thirty days later, I dunno it just feels icky, don’t get me wrong it’s the second biggest search engine in the world and everyone know it’s but I much prefer Pepsi over coke if I’m force into having a carbonated beverage — it’s just kinda lost it’s way for me.
Then, we take a look at dtube, recently they had another update after what seems like six months but is actually probably a year plus they have rolled out so many features and continue to bolt on open source projects that are cutting edge into their existing experience — I like it when people don’t try to re-invent the wheel, they see something that complements and by doing so give an audience to that up and coming codebase. I like that a lot.
Recently they added life streaming which was a bit of a shock to the system because the one factor that made it different from dlive was that — now I feel I need to experiment with both and report back to you on the experience, the good and the bad and how that effects which platform to use for what — right now I’m happy to vlog on dtube and to put the daily shows and other content on @dlive — something about the design of that I really like, either way — in the end it does not matter as both platforms use the steem blockchain so we are all in this together really.
Me and @dayleeo are currently in the switch it up phase of the year, we have plenty of things we need to be doing together and when our environment of choice (crypto) seems flat it’s best to wake up a few projects and ex-clients and see if they have anything they need help working on — it also gives us a bit of time to refactor our skills.
It’s become quite the leveller actually, then the volume and facts to noise ratio of crypto falls below a threshold that’s when it’s worth learning or educating yourself on something new — I’m really keen to deep dive motion or premier pro for instance so that I can demand more money for better quality video work and animations, I know that their is a demand for instance right now for stingers, AR and IGTV assets.
Well, it’s that time again, time to finish up and head out to the shop to get supplies, when I get back I’ll get my vlog and the top 10 done for @steemhunt and get into the day, I’m excited to see what this week can bring, are you ready to hit the week? :)
