Today's daily chicken is Big Red and the sticky butt nugget.
She was walking around with my breakfast stuck in her feathers. Not sure if she was broody and wanted to stay on the go while raising a little fluffy-butted family, or if the egg stuck due to the moisture of the membranes when she laid the egg. More likely the former I'd say. She's a hen on the go!
I think this one has been quickly ascending the pecking order. She's been pecking the others when they eat too close to her. Perhaps she doesn't like the sound of their chewing... can't say I blame her there. She's an alpha chick for sure, always has been. She was the one that taught the girls to fly out of their brooder. She's the biggest of the Six Chicks too. Good bird.
