It's the simple things
that bring the greatest pleasure

Sometimes being happy simply comes down to a decision. The choice to be joyful, regardless of what is happening around us, is always ours to make. And a beautiful flower can make it easier.

The photograph is of a volunteer morning glory growing in front of our front porch. They sprung up the first spring after we moved here, and have done so every year since, so far without fail.

Though most are of the "Heavenly Blue" coloring, a nice percentage have the deeper purple "star" marking such as this one, and I keep threatening to start selecting seeds for this coloration. They are just lovely, and because our front porch is covered, they are often still open well into the afternoon hours.

I don't recall which camera I used, but from the date alone, it was probably my Canon PowerShot SX 30 iS.
