Warm steady rains
muddy the rivers and start
raging waterfalls

Cori MacNaughton

The photo above, taken with my Samsung Note 8, represents only the second time in over six years that I've seen four waterfalls running simultaneously by our little bridge over the Calfkiller River. This view is almost exactly one mile from our home.

In this photo, the white patch on the left that you can see through the base of the trees is the torrent of water from the largest waterfall, making its way to the muddy river.

The volume of water is quite a bit, as it is loud and insistent.

Naturally I'm writing this during the second day of almost no rain, but the rains are due to begin again tomorrow, and the waterfalls, now down to two again, haven't stopped, and won't for some months.
