Really? What could be better than hanging out with Caleb, unicorn kitty, spaceman and dippin’ dots ice cream? Nothing I say!! 😊
I adore spending simple times like this with my son Caleb. We have some of our best talks during times like these.
Of course, today’s talk consist of the LEGO uni kitty, or unicorn kitty, whatever the cats name is. Caleb calls it rainbow kitty. I have no idea what it’s called. But nevertheless Caleb wanted to talk about this cat and LEGO man in their space suits.
While I am not keen on LEGO talk, always make sure to show my fullest attention to Caleb on these conversations. If he doesn’t think I listen on little trivial talks he won’t come to me for important talks either. You gotta keep those communication doors fully open for your kids.
You never know, sometimes silly talks such as legos can turn into serious talks and a chance to let your kids know you will listen no matter the topic.
