Llegué muy temprano al Teatro Nacional para montar luces, afinar detalles y hacer ensayo técnico. Sólo estaba yo ya que los chicos llegaban en la tarde para el ensayo general.
I arrived at the National Theater very early to set up lights, fine-tune details and do a technical rehearsal. There was only me since the boys arrived in the afternoon for the dress rehearsal.
Fue una mañana muy lenta, el técnico de luces quería esperar que las demás agrupaciones llegaran, por ende el ensayo técnico como se tenía previsto no se pudo realizar, a pesar de esto pude hablar con el técnico y darle las indicaciones para que estuviera claro a la hora de operar las luces.
It was a very slow morning, the lighting technician wanted to wait for the other groups to arrive, therefore the technical test as planned could not be carried out, despite this I was able to speak to the technician and give him directions so that it would be clear to when operating lights.
Llegó la tarde y aún no habíamos pasado el performance comenzamos a alistarnos. Ya sabía que no nos iba a dar tiempo, ya ha pasado antes, todo se va atrasando cuando no hay alguien que vaya al frente y ponga orden, pero bueh... Decidí quedarme tranquila y dejarlo todo en manos del universo y las buenas energías.
The afternoon came and we had not yet passed the performance we began to get ready. I already knew that it was not going to give us time, it has already happened before, everything is falling behind when there is no one to go to the front and put order, but hey ... I decided to stay calm and leave everything in the hands of the universe and good energy.
Llegada la hora había un grupo de danza contemporánea que estaba espaciando, nosotros empezamos a ver y planear cómo íbamos a distribuirnos en el espacio ya que todo había cambiado. La tela iba a estar ahora en el centro porque la compartíamos con otro grupo aéreo y además ahí podía ser utilizada con mayor libertad. Esto nos generaba un desequilibrio en el escenario por lo que decidimos en último momento, los músicos, colocarnos en una esquina para no ser tan notorio el desnivel escénico.
At the time there was a group of contemporary dance that was spacing, we began to see and plan how we were going to distribute ourselves in the space since everything had changed. The fabric was now going to be in the center because we shared it with another air group and it could also be used more freely there. This caused us an imbalance on the stage, so we musicians decided at the last moment to place ourselves in a corner so that the scenic unevenness was not so noticeable.
Finalmente 10 minutos antes de dar sala estábamos haciendo una pasada rápida del performance para que Angy probara la tela y cuadrar corriendo las modificaciones.
Finally 10 minutes before giving room we were doing a quick pass of the performance for Angy to test the fabric and square the modifications.
Éramos los primeros y había mucha preocupación porque sólo teníamos un micrófono el cual serviría para todos, pero gracias a la acústica tan poderosa del Teatro Nacional se escuchaba muy bien y el micrófono respondió de forma maravillosa con potencia y alcance.
We were the first and there was a lot of concern because we only had a microphone which would work for everyone, but thanks to the powerful acoustics of the National Theater it was heard very well and the microphone responded wonderfully with power and range.
Comenzamos, hicimos un círculo para desearnos mucho éxito (yo lo llamo círculo de amor) nos tomamos las manos y vibramos de manera positiva con palabras que nos animen, nos llenen de confianza y expresamos la inmensa gratitud de estar vivos y compartiendo escenario. Con los nervios de siempre cerraron el telón, nos preparamos cada quien en su lugar
y así comenzó todo...
We started, we made a circle to wish each other much success (I call it a circle of love) we hold hands and vibrate positively with words that encourage us, fill us with confidence and express the immense gratitude of being alive and sharing the stage. With the nerves of always closed the curtain, we prepare each one in his place
and so it all began ...
Con mucha energía dimos inicio a VIRAHA mientras cantaba me doy cuenta que el técnico de luces, sin conocer realmente la pieza (aunque creo que tanto fue que le hablé y le repetí lo que tenía que hacer cómo un loro, que todo lo captó sin problema) creó los ambientes perfectos para cada momento, la atmósfera era mágica, nos veíamos realmente hermosos en el escenario y la energía era potente.
With a lot of energy we started VIRAHA while singing I realize that the lighting technician, without really knowing the piece (although I think it was so much that I spoke to him and repeated what he had to do as a parrot, that he captured everything without problem ) created the perfect environments for each moment, the atmosphere was magical, we looked really beautiful on stage and the energy was powerful.
Todo salió mejor de lo que esperábamos Angy estuvo majestuosa, entregada a su personaje, pasó por cada momento y los disfrutó al máximo.
Everything went better than we expected Angy was majestic, delivered to her character, went through each moment and enjoyed them to the fullest.
Estábamos muy compenetrados, "Balada para un loco" de Astor Piazzolla se escuchaba en todo el teatro, había fuerza, emoción y total disfrute.
We were very close, Astor Piazzolla's "Ballad for a Madman" was heard throughout the theater, there was strength, emotion and total enjoyment.
En definitiva fue una hermosa presentación, el público aplaudió muy emocionado, se escucharon gritos de "bravo, bravo". Todo salió muy bien.
In short, it was a beautiful presentation, the audience applauded very excited, cries of "bravo, bravo" were heard. Everything went well.
