Police Arresting Remaining Water Protectors From Standing Rock RIGHT NOW As The World Already Forgets Dakota Access PipelinesteemCreated with Sketch.

Watch the video starting around 25:00 where we learn that if you're not "credentialed press" you will be arrested. The independent journalists in the video stated that they sent emails and phone calls to get these credentials. No answer.....it's quite chilling.

Well folks, here we are again.

What's Dakota Access Pipeline?

Oh yeah, I remember that from like a few months ago......

The Native Americans are currently being stripped of their Treaty lands, as we all sink back into the comfortable stages of forgetfulness.

The police have surrounded the camp and are arresting the remaining peaceful water protectors. I learned that there were around 150 left before the 2 pm deadline approached. I don't know how many are left right now.

The media coverage on this has been scant.

It's quite depressing to see such a small group left considering some months ago there was a huge amount of people who stood with the Native Americans.

It was reported that some independent journalists have been arrested along with some other water protectors still at the camp.
The water protectors set their structures on fire on purpose as part of a ritual.

Most of the information I got from Unicorn Riot: http://www.unicornriot.ninja/?page_id=216

Here's the video that was released at least a day ago in the hopes that others would come and join them on the day their encampment was to be evacuated by the US government, effectively taking their lands from them (again):

They need to tap into what @marcstevens is giving away.

They could tie up the courts, and win settlements, if they learned the method well enough.

in regards to the US breaking their Treaties?

Lol, you didn't spend much time on that link, huh?

Marc teaches people to ask questions that are impossible for them to answer.
Jurisdiction is usually just presumed.
Why do you think the laws apply to you?
Because that is just the way it is, right?

Well, that circular logic, the law applies to you because the law says it does, doesn't qualify as evidence of the laws applying in the court's eyes.
Most folks never raise the issue, but they could, if they knew to do it.
One only has to ask what evidence the state has provided to support it's claim of jurisdiction.
A non-criminal judge looks at the da and says, 'what ya got?'
Good luck getting a non-criminal judge.

That is what the practice is about, you got to get the questions into the record and you have to be wiling to stick it out to the appealate court.
Not as easy as one would think, there are deadlines that bar your appeal, if you don't know them, you lose.
It takes a certain attitude.

I pm'd you in the chat.

Just don't bring a lawyer to court. Because the lawyer will presume for you.
The lawyer is part of the system, therefor if you have a lawyer, you have already acquiesced to the system.

I hate The LAW so much.

Right, gotta do it without a lawyer.

It's not hard, over coming the fear of standing up to bullies is the hardest part.

Good keep arresting them.

shame on them

The thing is, my water could be affected by this........plus, it's just wrong and stupid to build more infrastructure for fossil fuels when Musk has already figured out much of the solar energy plans....then there's breaking the treaties of the Native Americans.....really pathetic on all accounts. I'm not even mentioning the destruction of their ancestors' gravesites.

I really don't think this will do much in terms of damaging water, like not at all. Oil used to seep into rivers in Pennsylvania and other places all the time (this is actually what snake oil was). And being a new pipeline wont have issues any time soon. Also water in this area is likely drawn from the Ogallala aquifer and its doubtful much oil would even seem into it if there was a catastrophic leak. This is allmy reckoning though, could be wrong. I just know crude is a lot less dangerous than, say, surfactants that might leak on the surface if a frack job isn't properly managed.

Also think why pipelines are built. It is because they are more efficient over time. They cost less in transport costs over it's lifetime for the amount of oil compared to truck or rail. This means LESS emmissions, less resource use, and better for the environment.

The biggest issue in my mind is breaking Native American treaties. Though the natives in my opinion would be best served by them making a deal to get royalties from the pipeline and ensuring concessions to not disturb their gravesites. This would be best for the economic welfare and heritage for them.

WEll, the problem with what you've stated is that the Native Americans are not deciding what's best for them. That is the main issue. The Native Americans left the earth in perfect condition because they understand balance. We are destroying what they respected. That's what I see as the real tragedy that will unfold only in time, when people begin to wake up.

I strongly disagree with the protesters. Notice its mostly young punks out there with no jobs. If they really understood how safe and clean pipelines are they would not be out in the middle of a Dakota winter holding signs. Fact is Solar will replace oil one day but only when the prices of oil go up high enough where it makes sense. Until then Solar will remain an alt energy. Solar/Electric is not as clean as people think either you still have the batteries and waste from solar panels.

Actually it is mostly Native Americans. The issue is that we have broken their Treaty.
