i just wanted to let all you rideshare & delivery drivers know that there will be one less driver tonight as i'm taking tonight off.
i don't need a lot of convincing to take a day off work, but i'm not a huge fan of driving in the rain. a light rain or misting i don't mind, but a full rain i like to stay off the road. i don't enjoy the road conditions, especially if i'm sent into the hills and canyons of los angeles with their crumbling root-broken streets and deteriorating hillsides. i also don't trust other drivers on the streets, and that goes double on the friday night of st. patrick's day weekend. so that's that.
instead i'll be researching steem power and liquid steem and whatever steem tutorials i can stay awake for. i really like sleeping in the rain. not in the rain but during the rain, though sometimes i'm sleeping and i have to get up and go into the rain to move the garbage can that one of the neighbors has placed under a drain spout so the water drums on the lid and wakes me up. first world problems? you bet, but these are the demons i am dealing with.
so anyway, all you drivers out there like me who get bummed out about driver saturation, you can at least know there is for sure one less driver tonight, one who is choosing not to get saturated in our l.a. rainstorm. and an l.a. rainstorm is like regular rain, not like, say, a texas rainstorm where the drops can be so fat and fall so hard they actually hurt. and it doesn't take a lot of water to start taking pacific coast highway apart.
oh and while i'm thinking about it i won't be driving sunday morning either, i'll be avoiding the l.a. marathon and all the street closures. so you all can have my spot on the road then too.
any other updates to my schedule i'll let you know.
