I purchase assets from daz3d.com for use within video game designs. They have had a pretty large sale going on for awhile and I have purchased quite a few things. I just acquired the Centaur 7 Male Pro Bundle today and it is one I'd been considering getting for awhile and with all of the discounts and bonuses I had today I managed to get this bundle for about $31 so I didn't pass it up.
This will be a slightly different look than my other renders up to this point. I thought this might make for an interesting looking post.
Here is the bundle I'll be reviewing:
Centaur 7 Male Pro Bundle
So with that said... I'll make some renders and we can see what this looks like. I'll be using the 3DLeight Renderer and Material whenever possible simply for speed purposes since I have quite a bit to render.
Centaur 7 for Genesis 3 Male(s)
FW Alexi HD for Genesis 3 Male
FWSA Kheiron HD for Genesis 3 Male
Empire Centaur Armor for Centaur 7 Male
While I am waiting for this next Render which is taking a long time due to how many Polygons/Triangles hair in Daz has. Yes, the hair looks good, but it is highly inefficient for something like a Game. I purchased Hair Tool for Unity a couple of weeks ago and it is what I intend to use for hair instead of Daz hair for my games. I actually removed all hair from my wishlist on Daz though I have a lot of hair already. If you are making static renders in Daz then the hair is okay, but it is incredibly inefficient for everything else. Instead of using creative texturing and other tricks they actually do most of the hair by making complex geometry. This is not good for games. I have another Daz post out there where I decimated hair quite a bit inside of Unity to make it more efficient, but even then it still seems a bit extreme. For games using less geometry and making that geometry appear complex by careful texturing is the way to go. That is not how Daz does hair.
Here are some Hair Tool videos for a Unity Asset if you are curious:
Here is a screenshot showing you what I am talking about. It's been stuck at 77% and lagging my machine quite a bit for some time now. This is a pretty common occurrence with hair or anything overly geometrically complex.
Though I am fairly certain I have something memory leaking as I have 16GB of RAM and it says 92% used which if you look that application is using less than 1GB.
What I do have running doesn't seem to total to 16GB so likely this is a Windows 10 issue as I've noticed Windows 10 has a lot of issues that didn't exist in Windows 7. Such as liking to PHONE HOME and use internet connections far more than it should. I have also found problems with memory leaks before which I fixed with registry edits and it likely reversed my fixes with updates.
Now you can see why I say these Renders take a long time. This one is at 77% and has been going for 21 minutes. This is using 3DLeight which is faster. LRay looks more realistic but takes considerably longer to render. This process is so intense that my machine is occasionally completely locking up for a few seconds as this render continues.
Adrian Hair and Beard for Genesis 3 Male(s)
That is not even a complete render. I will go ahead post this review. Then I'll reboot my machine and edit it and continue adding to it.
Whatever memory leak is going on is interfering with my machine. I actually think a lot of my issues in making this post are actually products of Windows 10.
Hairy Horsemen, good clear video. You bring a lot work for the hairdresser 😉

Video games are like books. There is one for everyone. Yet unlike books they can be a bad aspect for your life. A time sink. Can be addictive.
For me they are just another form of creation. Creating words. Creating interactive moving environments. They can be simple or they can be incredibly complex.
I find a lot of satisfaction in making them even if I rarely finish anything. :) The act of creating is very satisfying for me.

The only one I was ever any good at was Duck Hunt on the prehistoric Nintendo (or Atari, I forget)
