Steemit Gaming Contest: My unforgettable Gaming Experience,A beginner's encounter with gaming

The year was 2011 when I've got involved and engaged in playing video games. My dear husband @phillip20 is also a gamer and many times I saw him playing in our Playstation console and I am just a silent audience watching him play.
Before I've found playing video games to be time consuming and it doesn't really my "type of thing." I'd rather spend my time doing something else like watching my favorite movie, shopping,cooking and all the girly stuff plus I am a career woman with a full time job. Yes I am a woman and I know there are lots of girls/women playing video games.

So when Killzone 3 was released in 2011, it was a first person shooter video game for Playstation 3 developed by Guerilla Games.source My husband had been waiting for this games since he had played the previous installment series. It was timing that I gave birth to my second child and I had sixteen weeks of family leave- means I am just at home spending time with my newborn and family. He asked me if I want to try to play the game, at first, I was hesitant but as days and nights passed by of watching him play and running a clan on this multiplayer game and witnessing the fun of the game, the frustration of losing, the building of camaraderie with other online players, hearing them talking to each other and having fun playing , creating strategies and teamwork and winning in a clan match is really inviting and nice. So I decided to give it a try. It wasn't hard learning the buttons of the controller but up to this day I play inverted when it comes to PS controllers.

At first I played the mission but didn't really finish the story . Maybe because I didn't know and played the first and second series (Killzone 1 and Killzone 2) but I'd found the multiplayer Operations really quite fun to play. This are three maps where you play missions along with other players on your team against the other team.Some have mic, others dont have mic but it was amazing to see how players win the mission without communication. I maybe playing with someone on the other side of the planet. I'd never knew that video games can be addictive until I had my personal experience. Later on , I find myself in a clan and doing clan missions along with the other clan members. I guess I had that privilege since I am the wife of the clan leader eventhough I don't consider myself a great gamer. I feel respected for the following reasons. First, I am a female gamer and most men gamer I encountered are nice if they know that they are dealing with a female gamer. Second, everybody is helpful, they guide you on missions, where to go, what to do,etc. And there is that funny saying "A couple that plays together, stays together". We've been playing this game for a while. It is the best game , best experience and unforgettable memories I have in playing. And up to this day, I still have a few of those clan members that I get in touch with. Some people will say playing video game is worthless but based on my personal experience this is not true. It is fun to play and moderation is the key.

I tried to play Destiny by Bungie in 2014 but it was short lived. The raids were tough and gamers are getting frustrated.And the story is huge! And also I became busy with family life that I do not have sufficient time to pick up the PS controller and play nowadays. I spent most of my spare time on Steemit although my husband still plays but not devotedly. Although I watch my kids play with their Nintendos. Yes, we are a family of gamers, it's just that we cannot just be faithful with one type of console.
