"Dear Dawne - Tag Talk!" - Season 1 - Episode 3

We Have An Experienced "Steemit Personal Mentor" To Help You Directly!

General Topic: How To Properly Tag Your Post & Other Tag Information

There has been a lot of chatting about and concerns with knowing the “rules” of tags on steemit; and I know it can be confusing some days. So let me hopefully give you all some basic guidance here today.

How do you know which tag to use?
Process of elimination – questions to ask yourself when making a post- What is the main topic? Does this post fall into an already established tag? Who do I want to share this post with?

  • Once you have those answered, you should be able to figure out what tags to attach to your post. If you are doing photography there are MANY photography contests on steemit from colorchallenges to smartphonephotography, macrophotography to architecturalphotography. Just do you research a little to make sure you are tagging properly to get it seen by the correct audience.
Group tags- if you belong to Discord groups like steemitbloggers, steemgigs, thesteemengine, etc- make sure to tag the group. Sometimes there are curators looking for these tags.
Using LARGE steemit tags- Maybe you want a larger fish, dolphin, whale or curator to see your post. So many people use tags like promo-steem, ocd-resteem, adsactly, etc.
Just because you CAN use five tags, doesn't mean you HAVE to. There have been times when I have only had three or four. Later that day or the next, I will think of another and go back into my post, hit edit and add the new tag I thought of. Editing your posts doesn't have a loss of sbd or steem, but it may cause issues with bandwidth- so be careful.
Use the introduceyourself ONLY once. You used this when you first started, and there are people on steemit that frown upon using this tag multiple times just to get traffic to your page and some of them may FLAG your post.

Any questions you may have that I haven't covered regarding tags, please comment below and I'll hopefully be able to answer for you.

When: Today!!!

We are proud to present the news that #newbieresteemday and @goldendawne have teamed up in a partnership called "Dear Dawne". @goldendawne is an accomplished member of our community and she wants to help both the members of the Newbie Resteen Initiative and alse the "newbies" we serve.

Dawne will be regularly participating with us in a program called "Dear Dawne" where she will take comments, look directly at your posts and give you one on one suggestions, (and she will even go through your blog... How's that for being awesome!). Basically she wants to be your mentor and help you with ideas, formatting, access to resources, and even applying for various grants and delegations. Plus you can get "discovered" by a valued and connected member than can help you rise through the ranks!

Quick Facts About Dawne

In just the last two months, Dawne has:

  1. Become the writer & staff member for @qurator (which if you dont know about it, you should)
  2. Been delegated 10k SP from a whale- she is a Stewards of Gondor recipient
  3. Holds weekly, sometimes daily, contests to share the delegation she was awarded and given
  4. She is a mentor in certain Discord groups and helps incoming new members with formatting, posts and how to succeed

In the mentor program she is involved in... she says "the best reward is knowing and watching the people you partnered up with have their own steemit page and posts blossom and grow".

She is the real deal.

To read more about Dawne check out her past post: Personal Mentoring Statement For Homesteadersonline Community or just go to her steemit page @goldendawne an see the quality of her work and the connections she has.

How It Will Work

"Dear Dawne" will be available to help you individually today. She will answer questions, she will offer advice, she will even direct you to the right place if you don't know how to find something on Steemit. This is your chance to connect with a "60" Reputation Steemian on an individual and personal basis.

She is available to give you guidance and help in just a few hours. You just ask your questions to her in the comment section. Its that simple. She will read the comment section and reply individually with you and decide how best to help you from there.

Dear Dawne: I just want to know if you spy areas I could overall improve upon in my blog :) Is there anything I’m missing or could change to be more interesting? I’m open to suggestions!

Morning!! You are posting consistent, quality posts and good pics. I also see on your page you are commenting and replying- all GREAT!

What I believe may be hindering your advancement is your following. You're following 84 and have 114 people following you. Now... I'm by NO means saying do the follow me/follow you mentality here... but a couple of things you can do is:

  • How many Discord groups do you belong to? Are you a member of thesteemengine group? They are FABULOUS with UPvoting, post-promo and sharing. I LOVE the group. There are hundreds of active members in there including some of the HSO community. I recommend heading there to become a member and this should help get you more traffic, UPvotes and comments plus followers withOUT asking for them.
  • Commenting- Yes you are commenting on many posts and replies. Maybe try, for one week, commenting on posts you normally wouldn't. Like photos, food, recipe contests, etc. By doing this, you open your visibility a little more every day, every comment.

Thank you so much Dawne for your thoughtful response! Getting out of my comfort zone—aha! I do tend to park in one spot and not explore further. See, I knew there was probably something big that I was missing :) Thanks also for the tip on the Discord group. Again, it didn’t occur to me to strike out on my own on Discord. Right now I’m part of homesteadersonline and the veterans group. I don’t get on as often as I’d like. I’m hoping we can finally get back into some semblance of a routine so I can work it in!

Again, THANK YOU!!

You're welcome and anytime! If you need to chat, catch me on Discord when you can.

I can maybe offer up some possible Discord groups too.

Wow i learnt here too. Sorry for coming in. Can you offer the discord groups. Am inspiredgideon1 on steemit

I think I just commented below on your other comment. I recommended and gave the info for a Discord group there called the steem engine.

Thank you for posting your question, @mtnmeadowmomma. It takes courage to step forward and ask. Not only are you benefiting, we all are! @goldendawne I don't have enough words to thank you for your systematic and concise information that you are so generously providing! Lots to "dig into" and explore - Discord Groups and thesteemengine group! Your glowing reviews of them, specifically has me curious and of course, will follow up.

I love the idea of commenting on posts that we WON'T normally comment on! Helps us get a wider and more rounded perspective of our community for sure!

Great post and reply! Thanks again!

First off thank you @goldendawne for taking the time for newbies! I was really interested in your Fostering a Gardener post! But at the time I did not have the requirements. I am itching to get my garden started for this year. Over the weekend my brother's wedding favors were heirloom seeds! I was picking out the ones I didn't already have! Anyway being new to STEEMIT, what would be your 3 DOs and 3 DON'Ts on the platform? And I am always looking for suggestions to get into the to 'groove' here on Steemit. Thanks in advance!

Hello,
I actually just did a basic post last week for @davemccoy covering the do's and don't's go to this link and see what I had to say.

As I said, these are the basics to get you started.

Finding your own groove can take some time. Things you need to consider are:

  • How much time do you have and want to spend on steemit?
  • Are you here long term?
  • What areas, topics and hobbies interest you? This will help you find a community and group to help advance your reputation and visibility.
  • Are you committed to a number of hours per day/week?
  • Can you spend just as much time commenting as you do posting quality content?

Once you have these questions answered, you should be able to find your groove and have a daily routine. And remember, if you post consistently for two weeks straight then you miss a week, you may lose a following of members that were reading your posts every day.

Thanks for the advice. I'll be sure to check out that post! Navigating through posts/comments/replies has been a learning curve. I will keep your words in mind as I grow in this community!

If you ever have questions, or feel you need to chat, find me on Discord.

This is really amazing

I agree @rowland... she is terrific... ask her any questions you have, she is happy to answer!!!

Thanks for sharing this wonderful informative post. Hope It helps to many steemit users specially to a newbie like me. Thanks at@davemccoy.

You are certainly welcome but fyi, you have graduated already Pat (your name is very long hahaha).... Didn't you get the graduation invitation? lol

Seriously thanks for letting us know you like it and take the opportunity to speak with Dawne directly! She will reply to comments here so give it a go and see how she can help you!

ps... One thing I can tell you is to get a pic (of you or something you are interested in) because it will help people to remember you! But while the name is long with a number in it too, it is also something I won't forget either! So good job on the name selection :)

Thank you again @mccoy for yet another help-the-newbies project! Very recently I heard about @goldendawne, her stature in the community and most of all her recent initiatives to mentor lost newbies, like me! It's an incredibly generous offer and I desperately need it. However I am not certain how to initiate contact or "get registered".

Hey @kismel2018... you are free to ask @goldendawne any questions by directly replying to this post or even just commenting to her below. That is the point, no registration needed ;)

So ask her anything and she will help you, she is fantastic! And she really wants to see you succeed.

For this post, all you have to do is ask a question. I will do my best to answer your concern and direct you to what should be done and how to improve what you're already doing.

GREAT that you've heard my name floating around; as I do tend to make some big dents in the steemit realm and offer assistance.

Thank you @goldendawne and @davemccoy...

My head is so very full of info right now. Not sure of "next steps. There are so many "aids", contests, challenges, chats, communities, groups. I am literally sitting here, still feeling excited but knowing I need to make a plan in order to put into practice at least some of this info.

If you had to give me one important "next step" action item, what will it be? I have not mustered enough courage to do an Introduction blog yet. I don't suppose that is doing me huge benefit. So apart from the Intro Blog, what do you suggest I do next?

I would recommend getting a notebook. Write down the contests, challenges and whatever else interests you. Then after each topic/contest/challenge you wrote down first, write a post headline/title that you could write about. After you have your list, pick the one that REALLY draws you in the most.

Doing the process of elimination with your notebook will not only help you get organized but also help you feel less overwhelmed. I am a huge notebook/journal and list maker and this always helps keep me organized and on task.

After a short time of doing the notebook with ideas you will settle into a routine and know how to better keep on task. I still use a notebook; only because I am VERY OCD.

I must say I am breathing easier and verrry grateful for your helpful tips and suggestions! Guess what? I just got back from the Dollar Store with a notebook for Steemit! When I got to my desk, I drew an "S" on it for "Steemit", logged into Steemit and saw your message suggesting I do the same thing! Cool eh?! I had many sheets of paper and I needed the info in a book instead!

Here is my first specific question re this part of your article:

"Using LARGE steemit tags- Maybe you want a larger fish, dolphin, whale or curator to see your post. So many people use tags like promo-steem, ocd-resteem, adsactly, etc."

Here are my questions ...

What's the protocol around this practice?
Who can use these tags?
How often?
Cost anything?
If the point is to catch attention of "Large" curators, why don't folks use these three listed, for example, or any others like them all the time?
Is it something that is widely used, acceptable, requires delicate handling?
Can anyone use any tag?

Re tags in general ... those same questions might apply. Can anyone use any tag?

Thank you again for this!

20180207_143513.jpg

Ok- let's break this down-

  • What's the protocol around this practice? RE; using LARGE,or trending tags, anyone can use them that is true... but keep this in mind. MANY newcomers to steemit who are here only for a quick buck will use trending tags, follow (relentlessly) whales and high dolphins- which will eventually become a problem. If you go to a whale's post you will see tons and tons of newbies leaving comments like "good post", "great information", "thank you my friend"- and when you see those comments, how often do the whales reply back? Are they getting noticed? Perhaps, but not in a positive way. SO be careful when wanting to "tag" only in the trending ones.
  • How often? You can make as any posts in a day on steemit as you want. BUT... caution of warning, if you post A LOT it will clutter the feed and your followers may get irritated. Last week I did a post about how much is too much for posting. Read it and see my comments and the replies from other members. It may help you figure out where you want to be.
  • Cost anything? Not sure what this means, maybe you can elaborate.
  • If the point is to catch attention of "Large" curators, why don't folks use these three listed, for example, or any others like them all the time? It doesn't always work like that. Curators, like myself, don't always go to the same tags over and over again. I am a muxxybot curator and I go looking for newer members posts that have quality and original content, image that are sourced not only correctly but also classified as approved for commercial re-use (see the pinned message in the newbieresteem Discord group that I made as to where to find these images). There are MANY criterias that need to be met for a top curator to UPvote and find you.
  • Is it something that is widely used, acceptable, requires delicate handling?
  • Can anyone use any tag? Anyone can use any tag BUT it HAS TO be related to the post. EXAMPLE- if you continually use the introduceyourself tag and you've been on here for one or two months, have already posted your intro... trust me... there are members who will find you and flag the post. Not only do members watch for copy/paste, plagiarism, etc but they also look for people who abuse tags.

Wheww Girl! Your response was exhaustive and thorough! Many thanks yet again!

Thank you specifically for the "about how much is too much for posting" link! It was very useful! If I knew how to post it here, I would!

I could relate a little to the "Cluttered Feed" and your comments on "Resteeming". Again, I have questions regarding protocol, benefits, risks of Resteeming.

When I Resteem, it's motivated by wanting to encourage AND to share good information. Another reason is to be able to locate a post for further research and study. I don't know if that is right or wrong.

When I asked about "Cost" in my original post, I meant does it cost in steem power or SBD to resteem or upvote? Which functions do "cost"?

Old Posts: Other than encouraging a person, and getting lots of great information, is there any financial benefit in upvoting, commenting, resteeming any old posts?

Chat Rooms: I haven't spent much time in the Chat Rooms because so much is going on in there and I really am not "getting it", yet! Having said that, I know I am missing out on excellent initiatives for newbies there.

I would love to learn how to make pretty posts, like you and @davemccoy - hehe. I don't know yet how to do different sizes, types and colors of fonts ...

@goldendawne, would you mind scanning my "stuff" and give me your feedback! I need a ton of help but anything you can suggest will be more than I have right now!

Thanks again!

Oh wow @davemccoy and @goldendawne ... in my post above, I was commenting on your posts - fancy fonts, size, color, sweet visuals, etc.

Guess what? I just stumbled into the room of Markdown Styling Guide, saw that it is a "foreign language" and right now I have fled that room! I am catching my breath, going to make a cup of hot water and I will re-enter that zone of "alien communication"! Please tell me that this is doable. Looks like I need IT special computer coding intelligence. However I am very suspicious that I can do it! Here we ago ...one more Steemit discovery!!

@kismet2018 Dawne's advice is very good and she is far more experienced and organized than me. But the one thing I can add that I have found helpful is to keep learning (there is so much more than you know right now still to learn). Sometimes it might seem like information overload, but that is where people like Dawne and I come in. You simply need to ask and we will help to straighten it out.

You have so much more ahead of you, that the goal is to learn how everything is connected. If you continue to learn, you will find out why things are the way they are. Some stop learning and they never get the full benefits. But if you keep asking "why", you will eventually get it, I guarantee you. ;)

You are so right Dave! You nailed it! It's the "connections"!!!! That is exactly what I am trying to understand! I have all kinds of amazing info, all in separate compartments. It's trying to find out how it all fits together is my quest!

I did post specific questions to @ goldendawne earlier re tagging.

I can't say, "Thank you" enough to you and @goldendawne for making your experience and and your time so generously available to us!

If i can use the system to show my appreciation more tangibly, please guide me

Thank you for so much for the intuition and awareness.

congrats on the big win in @danielsaori's game!!!

Wow! thanks @davemccoy, i am excited. Thank you for your support and the #newbieresteemday team. highly appreciate.

you are always welcome Grace! Dear Dawne is awesome to help you all and she's happy to do it when she sees people like you that benefit and appreciate it :)

Thank you so much @davemccoy for all you are doing for the newbies. @goldendawne, it is a pleasure to have you, i will really appreciate if you can go through my blog and advice me accordingly. I want to know if there is anything i am doing wrong. Thank you.

you are welcome Grace and congrats again! and I'm going through your blog now and will comment there! ;)

Thank you @Davemccoy, i saw your comment and advice, I appreciate everything.

Morning!!
I visited your page and here are a few suggestions-

  • On your Love on the street post there is not much there for the reader to grasp. Meaning, explain what this program is all about. How did it get started? How did you become involved? Make the post personal for you and hopefully for the person reading. Engaging the person may result in comments, UPvotes and a new follower.
  • In your boarding school post you started to let your passion and fear come out. Maybe elaborate more in your next post. You had said in the post that there was more to come, but I didn't see another post about it. Also, be careful of spelling and using capital letters for "I" instead of lower case "i". Readers, especially seasoned steemians may find this an issue.
  • In your fruit post, centering the images and making sure they are sourced correctly is important. The sourcing could cause a copyright concern. See this post about formatting for some help. Also, next time maybe add some a personal touch about what your favorite fruits are and why.

Thank you @goldendawne , i really appreciate you taking your time to check out my blog. I will work on what you mentioned.

She is very supportive. And helping me with her experience. I got plenty of tips from her and it's interesting journey so far. And I am happy to get mentored by her. Keep up the good work @davemccoy

Thank you @myscrible! I have enjoyed our chats too!

So glad you are getting tips from me!

I agree Rydhi! I think you will make her happy that she picked you too!

hey @nkereuwem... I'm glad you are interested and I have a secret for you... You are already enrolled because I like you! You did really well the other night and I'm proud of you. So ask @goldendawne anything she is here to make your posts and presence her the best it can be :)

And once you do that you will have access to this mentor! So go for it... I know you will really enjoy having her look at your blog :)

Thank you very much @davemccoy for making this happen and @goldendawne in volunteering in helping the community. I believe the energy and time spent in this will create a much better, higher quality steemians :) We are very lucky to have both of you.

I have a few questions?

  1. How long will this program Dear Dawne lasts?
  2. Do you plan to invite more mentors in this program? So that Dawne will not be overloaded and we will get different point of views.

Thank you again!

  • How long will this program Dear Dawne lasts? Indefinitely. I have committed to new steemains coming in looking for guidance and support.

  • Do you plan to invite more mentors in this program? So that Dawne will not be overloaded and we will get different point of views. My career is steemit and I am here long term and I had chatted with Dave that if I ever become overwhelmed I would tell him. Plus we have @coolguy123 and abh12345 who are also veteran steemians helping in other ways. AS the initiative grows more and more, I am sure more veteran steemians will join the ranks too.
But I'm sure Dave can answer this too.

I LOVE being here to help and am available on Discord chat too.

I agree with your answers and glad to see them too ;) ... For the record, (I'm speaking for all of us) we love you being here too :)

Thank you so much for the warm welcome @davemccoy. I feel like we know each other when talking to you. Weird, isn't it?

Thank you so much for the kindness.

yes... you "get it" and I could spot it immediately! I am very much looking forward to working with you on many projects. Together we are much stronger than separate! I'm happy you are now a founding member of #newbieresteemday initiative. We are going to do many awesome things as a group with the quality members we have!

Haha I didn't know I'm a founding member @@
I'm so honored to be part of #newbieresteemday
So excited for the future things we'll do!!!

Thank you @davemccoy! Always nice to hear such kind words!

its true! you are amazing :)

Great to hear to that @goldendawne! Yes, I can foresee this will grow very very large, with a lot of veterans helping the newbies and newbies catch up really fast in Steemit! We will become a very supportive learning initiative group :D

@goldendawne, if you don't mind me asking, what is your motivation behind this?

Motivation behind helping @davemccoy? Honestly because I was once the newbie here and I remember floundering... I was lost.

I have always been a person who helps others; my parents raised me to help, support and encourage the underdog and I have used that mental thinking on steemit. I carry a full workload here on steemit and am best when busy.

I see! So it's in your upbringing and your personality :)
We are lucky to have you supporting us. Keep it up! Keep going! What you're doing is marvelous!

You're welcome @tifaong and @goldendawne answered the questions well.

To the first question, as long as Dawne is willing to continue, we fully support her. It is a partnership with her and #newbieresteemday and is still developing each week. She is loved by the newbies and members alike.

To the second question, the answer is yes. I haven't discussed anything or even thought through the proper formula, but I'm sure there is a way to put "helpers" and "helpees" together! If you know of any other mentors that would be willing to either 1) assist @goldendawn or 2) work on their own program but with a similar aim.. then just let me know... I would be happy to sit down with Dawne and craft a plan.

We don't have any egos to worry about as our whole program is designed to simply help others. We believe that to get stronger in steemit you need your friends and followers to be strong too. So that is what we aim for, to make every contact of ours as good as is possible

There are so many possibilities and ways to do things (like a foreign language translation version for example) that I get excited when I think of them. So give me you thoughts and make any connections and lets continue building out this place one brick at a time!

Hi @davemccoy,

First answer: Niceeee as long as Dawne willing to continue. We're counting on you @goldendawne!

Second answer: Okay, I'll keep a look-out on those people who wanna be mentors or would like to help.

I believe what you're doing here will shape the community. All of us will be strong together :)

Suggestion: One way my organization is practicing is create a group. 1 mentor with 2-5 mentees. This creates a more personalized group and mentees can help each other too.

I like the way you think... You completely have the message and the right understanding.

One thing you will soon realize though... This is not "my" initiative, it is "our" initiative. It is not what "I am" doing, its what "we all" are doing. No one gets paid, there are no dues, and we are a group that has one common interest (which is helping newbies to have a better experience and learn faster and at the same time building our members and helping everyone to grow together).

This is just as much your organization as mine. Which means that we all work together in ways that works for each of us. Some people like certain aspects and don't like other ones. But the goal is to create ways that everyone can help in a way that "suits" them. I put out a list of 25 different ways that people can participate, but honestly that list could be 1000 different ways.

We will move as fast as the people we have working with us. The more we grow, the more we seem to attract. I think this is roughly the 21st day and it is moving at lightening speed. The reason it is doing so well has to do with a fact that @goldendawne answered above. Everyone knows what it was like when they were a newbie and the ones that care to help understand how great it would be to make that experience better and more engaging.

The way to do really well on this platform is to grow in both Reputation and SP, and the best way to do that is too work together. If your friends and followers were all "whales" then you would probably be a "whale" too. All those votes that we get that are now $0.01 or $0.00 will soon grow to dollars and not pennies. So when one realizes that fact, then it only makes sense to work in ANY way that suits you to help the others too. If you have information, share it. If you see someone doing something wrong, help them to correct it. If they have questions, get them answers. If they are strong, then you will be strong. Its really that simple!

So one more thing about your very interesting question. I believe that we can do anything as long as we have the people to do it. There are many idea I have in my head that we can't roll out because we need "do-ers" as well. If you have ideas or ways that you want to do something, don't be shy. I will help if I can (as well as many others will too). With each program the idea is to learn and grow from each thing we do.and constantly improve and strive for more and better. So let me know your thoughts and I am pretty good at crafting a plan once I know what you are thinking!

By the way if you are on discord, you can connect to me at davemccoy#2497 ... I'm willing to talk anytime and I love having new teammates like you!

Haha I'll need to start get used to "us" not "you" :)

As you mentioned, create ways that works for everybody. How do we know which way worked and which way didn't besides looking at the statistics? Do we also open feedback channels for members?

I'm happy to hear we're growing at lightning speed and at the same time maintaining the quality as well. What sort of criteria you have in terms of "quality" of #newbieresteemday?

The way I understand your "working together to get strong", for me the starting point is to get your followers strong first. What do you think? Give first, then receive :)

I'll opt to be one of the do-ers! I tried to add you on Discord but the username is incorrect :()

I started mentoring in one of my Discord groups originally and as time has gone by, I opened up to more- thanks to @davemccoy.

I have five people in one Discord group that I speak with on a weekly basis plus I have a fostering program/post where I take one gardener for a week and mentor them too; plus this initiative.

It can be difficult sometimes to find enough people to mentor versus the number of people that want/need advice. But over time I foresee this opening up and more people getting involved.

Ohh I see. That's where it started. I'm starting to learn the history of #newbieresteemday XD
When I'm qualified enough, I'd like to sign up as mentor too :)

This is very nice @wanderlass :)

You are very welcome!! Even though you don't have a question at the moment, you know how to track me down and find me when you do.

Have a great day!!

thank you so much sir @davemccoy for providing us newbies a very valuable information.

You are welcome @eldean.. And if you want @goldendawne to look at any of your posts or blog, I'm sure she will help you! Also we do this every week so if you want to come back next week that's cool too :)

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

thank you so much sir @davemccoy, i'll visit your post from time to time, hope and pray that ma'am @gldendawne can visit my simple post. God bless you guys.

Morning! I stopped by your page and here is what I saw and would recommend:

  • Add more text to your posts. Unless you are in a photo challenge or competition, people who stop by may want to read more about your adventures. ie. Your Abundance post about fishing- explain more about that particular fish; why would it be expensive in the store or at the market? Add in one of your favorite recipes for this particular fish. This wil invite the reader in more to your post and perhaps result in a comment.
  • CHeck out this link about Centering images and formatting. You want to make your post not only inviting but visually attractive to people. If you have images and text that is not centered or in bold, it can become an issue for people and they may leave. You may have the BEST quality post but if it they are getting frustrated with text, centering of images, etc... you may lose an UPvote or resteem.

thank you ma'am @goldendawne, for the wonderful advise.

Dear Dawne
Can you please take a look at my blog. What are mine missing out that am not getting enough up vote and what should i do to increase my steem power and also how can i possibly get some delegation from some whales

OK, checked out a few of your posts. What I would recommend is to try and make them a little longer. The formatting is great, you source the images correctly and the only other things I see are:

  • your following- 150 ppl- not bad for being a new person. Maybe spread out some more to meet others. Are you on Discord? In any groups or communities on Discord? This is where you will meet some new members. I would try the steemengine, which is a great curation group.
  • I have found commenting to others' posts is KEY. If you comment on someone's post they are about 75% likely to go to your page and comment, then perhaps UPvote if they see quality work. I know this works, because I am a curator and I do it often; as well as many other members and curators. Don't forget; steemit is all about interaction, sharing and discovering. Yes, UPvotes, comments, etc are important but right now you need to build a following and be part of a dedicated community.

Thanks

Oh my goodness, what a God send! I've been kind of lost the past 20 days, flopping around like a plankton out of water. I have a couple of questions, and am so grateful for the help!

  1. Is there are "best time to post" window?
  2. Should I just pick one topic, and stick to it until I find my groove?
  3. Do you have snacks?

Okay, so that was three questions, obviously you have snacks. ;)

hehehe... I'm glad I caught this... You are on last weeks link...
