Life according to sinners: But the ungodly by their words and deeds summoned death. Wisdom 1:16

The Bible teaches us that good and evil are ways because they are ways of perceiving life.
The book of wisdom describes how sinners perceive the path of life:
"But the ungodly by their words and deeds summoned death;
considering him a friend, they pined away
and made a covenant with him,
because they are fit to belong to his company.
For they reasoned unsoundly, saying to themselves,
´Short and sorrowful is our life,
and there is no remedy when a life comes to its end,
and no one has been known to return from Hades.
For we were born by mere chance,
and hereafter we shall be as though we had never been,
for the breath in our nostrils is smoke,
and reason is a spark kindled by the beating of our hearts;
when it is extinguished, the body will turn to ashes,
and the spirit will dissolve like empty air.´" Wisdom 1:16-2:3.
The Book of Wisdom explains that sin carries with it a perceptual error, the brevity of existence: "you only live once". We all have an immortal soul, and what we do in this life is a preparation for the other, the sinner does not understand this truth.

In living beings, just as there is a life drive, there is also a drive to the inorganic state, the death drive, in psychology this is called Thanatos.
Human beings debate between these two drives or internal forces, which is why the Bible explains that God is a God of the living and not of the dead: "He is not the God of the dead but of the living", Matthew 22:32.
When we sin, we practice error, it is because death directs our life: "But they that sin are enemies of their own life", Tobit 12:10. And this brings with it a germ: the sadness and the suffering. The joy of living only belongs to those who direct their hearts to God and his wisdom. When Jesus proclaims the beatitudes he always begins with the word "happy".
Life as perfection comes from creative wisdom, wisdom as a metaphysical entity is progressive, expansive, benevolent and compassionate.
Life and death are finally present as a choice of life: "I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses.", Deuteronomy 30:19.
