Addiction can be seen (transmuted) as waking up with a debt so immediately payable one cannot engage with daily activities before finding out how to pay it. I think viewed this way we might be able to extrapolated some precise “economical” solutions to addiction. Like other such complex solutions it seems a stable pricing mechanism would be required for the optimization of such a system.
