For the last week I have been posting YouTube videos I have found of people sharing how they got rid of large amounts of debt. The point is for one to show you the success others have had, so as to encourage you on your own journey. Also, it is interesting and important to note that the steps these people took are significant.
This video from the Marriage & Motherhood YouTube channel focuses on things that hold you back, and not a success story. Note the video highlights, familiar?
Highlights
Not having a budget
Not reconciling your budget
Engaging in emotional/impulse spending
Ignoring your debt
Keeping up with the Joneses
“Don’t keep up with the Joneses because the Joneses are broke” #clapping
It’s always encouraging to hear from people who have had success. Check out these previous posts for more success stories.

Do you have debt you want to pay off? I am starting a debt elimination support posting/group, but I need to know if there is interest. Please let me know in the comments if you would like to participate in something that could help you get out of debt. It would be structured in such a way that you would not be putting up your personal details, but using percentages instead. I want people to be able to track their progress publicly and set goals and have accountability, but not be exposed in a personal way. Comment if you are interested! #debtfreeme
