Let The Internet Reward You

When you click on your phone or system browser, what comes to your mind?
The witty status you want to post on Facebook? That outrageously funny meme you just found? A DIY tip you want to look up on Google?

The internet is given far less credit than it deserves when we take things into perspective. From Academia to News to Work to Entertainment, everything you ask of it, it has a solution(well except where to find free Bitcoin 😅).

Today I want you to go down a thinking path with me. Ask yourself this question; **When I browse the internet, who benefits? **

Sure, you get the recipe you wanted. Sure you find the answer to that question that has been bugging you. Oh what's that? Your favorite show is out? Enjoyed it? Good. Now what?

The major moving factor of this world is money. With money you can achieve financial freedom, pay off loans and mortgages, buy dream homes, cater for family and friends, take that trip to the Caribbean and kick back as the beauty of life unfolds.

So I ask again, when you go online who benefits?

• The ISPs do. You pay them to access the internet. They sell your information to the highest bidder.
• The government does. They monitor, spy and harvest your online footprint. They use this information to benefit themselves and manipulate the population in different ways such as sales, elections, civil and public opinions all to make more money off you and stay in power.

You get sentimental value and they get cold hard cash from denying you Net Neutrality.

ISPs exploiting the population

In my previous blogs I explained the beautiful concept of uncensored, uninhibited, unmonitored and unhackable internet that the Decenternet project is developing. I also highlighted their Custom Operating System called Anuvys and their custom Browser Osiris and search engine Liberty.
Today I will talk about the custom token that powers the Decenternet ecosystem. SPYCE.

Now when you want to use regular internet, you pay your communication company or ISP( Eg Sprint, Verizon, MTN) a subscription fee.
Most ISPs give you a data cap and set your internet speed depending on the package you paid for.
What this means is that for faster speeds and more Bandwidth you should pay more money.

What Decenternet on the other hand offers, is an internet that rewards you rather than taking from you. This is because the Decenternet ecosystem is designed to be self-sustaining.

The Dnet project plans to alleviate poverty on the earth by taking positive steps instead of allocating blame.

How Will Decenternet Decentralize Mining?

After Bitcoin was created, mining was originally very easy. All esrly miners had to do was connect to the blockchain via specislized software and let their CPUs do the hashing. As more people joined the network difficulty rose and CPUs couldn't cut it anymore leading to the use of graphics cards, then ASCII cards, and then ultimately specislized rigs and mining pools to keep up.
Bitcoin uses a Proof Of Work(PoR) system.

The PoW requires miners to find a number called a nonce, such that when the block content is hashed along with the nonce, the result is numerically smaller than the network's difficulty target.Source

This proof is easy for any node in the network to verify, but extremely time-consuming to generate using up a lot of electricity in the process.

It is this reason that individual miners have long been rendered inert as they cannot foot the huge power bills or cost of equipment to mine competitively.

Decenternet on the other hand, will utilise a Proof of Reliability protocol which will depend on the user(nodes) reputation rather than equipment used. This will quicken the transaction time and also allow everyone on the network to be able to mine as equals.
The SPYCE token will provide great potential reward for user activity such as provison of marketable services or Content Creation.
