Delegation or Purchasing???

 Dar all steeminas; i want to get a very important lesson on the following  

1. What is the difference between delegation and purchasing?   

For example, If I want steem power delegation for 90 days with my SBD 

2.  Is that purchasing or delegation? 

3. Can I get my SBD back after 90 days?
