The whole problem is that our focus is on prices - money, the root of all evil.
We need to shift the nation’s focus to anti-racism. The rules are very simple: If a policy increases equity (i.e., equality of outcomes across diverse groups) it’s anti-racist. If it decreases equity, it’s racist.
So, if we increase police presence in minority areas, more minorities will be arrested, so that’s racist. But if we don’t increase police presence in minority areas, then more minorities will be victimized. So that’s racist.
Similarly, if we improve discipline in schools, more black boys will be disciplined than Asian girls. So that’s racist. But if we don’t enforce discipline, minority students will have their classes disrupted and receive poor educations. So that’s racist.
See how simple everything becomes when we start concentrating on what matters rather than on filthy lucre?
