I posted this screed on FarceBook an hour ago:

For the record: I have been #NeverTrump since Trump announced his run. I'm a Ted Cruz kinda guy. I don't like Trump, but I am happily prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt - as I did with Obama in 2009 - but I think an observation is in order.
First: If you have never truly understood the danger communism represents to liberty, you need look no further that the ongoing explosion of snowflake brains.
Whether you loved Hillary and hated Trump, or preferred Cruz but accept Trump, one thing must be clear: Today was about the peaceful transition of power. This was another example to the world about the difference between the USA and Iran...or Russia...or pick your own. In spite of the ugly, devisive Obama years, and in spite of conservative and libertarian opposition to Trump, in the end, the country celebrated liberty and got her done.
Although I did not support Barack Obama, I celebrated his inauguration in the naive belief that America had grown beyond the racism of its past. To say he disappointed me is to put it mildly. He instead awoke memories of air raid sirens, the Korean War, and the deadly danger of communism. Ronald Reagan put paid to the USSR, but he was unable to prevent communists from making major inroads into American mainstream politics. I just didn't see it. Thanks to the Obama I supported, and Alinskyite Hillary Clinton, it's now impossible to ignore.
If you don't get that, leave now.
Second: The snowflakes doing their best to destroy DC are rioting in OPPOSITION to that peaceful transition of power. Once you get that, nothing these people say matters. They support the overthrow of the Constitutional Republic. Period.
Democrats, sadly, refuse to condemn these a-holes; instead, they support them, #BlackLivesMatter terrorism, communists, anarchists and all.
I know, from personal experience, that if you share these truths with a snowflake, their heads will explode. When, for instance, I pointed out (to a daughter) that Congress exempted itself from the chains of the #ACA, her response was to refer to it as "Nazi bullshit." FACTS don't matter to snowflakes.
Third: Trump's speech. Much to my surprise, I thought it magnificent. I did not, however, equate it with reality. As he concluded, my first thought was, "Great piece. I know what you have SAID, now I'm going to see what you DO."
In short, as a #NeverTrump guy, I'm going to give Donald Trump the benefit of the doubt and see what he does. The snowflakes can f* themselves.

Wow! Thanks for mentioning the late John Paul Jackson @ 5:04
