I'm crying for no reason - what can I do?

The sky is blue, the sun is shining, a great program for the day is coming up. And yet the tears come. There are not many people who have to admit at some point: "I cry for no reason - what can I do?" Anyone who suffers from this can experience such beautiful things, the sadness is a constant companion. There are ways to get closer to solving this problem.

What you need:
a quiet place where you feel comfortable
a person who you can trust
a stress-free moment that you can stretch backwards
First of all, you should not blame yourself, because as you are, many other people are concerned too. It's also not that you really cry for no reason, the reason is not immediately apparent. There can be hidden reasons for this kind of sadness.

I cry for no reason - because of repression
It is possible that you are displacing a problem. But if you suppress it, it will not be solved, but it will languish in you and one day it will emerge with even more power. A first harbinger may be when you have to admit, "I'm crying for no reason." But there's a reason for your crying: the suppressed problem.

In a place where you feel comfortable, take time for yourself to think about whether this is the case. As hard as it sounds, but you have to face the problem. Maybe you do not have to tackle it alone, but you can ask a trusted person for help to find a solution quickly.

Crying overburdened
For many people, crying is a sign of helplessness. Take your time and think about whether your everyday life may overwhelm you and you therefore cry supposedly groundless.

Write down a list of all the things you need to do right now that will determine your everyday life. Is the list very long? Do you have things that take a lot of your time and rob you of the time you need elsewhere? Then you should try to set priorities. Remove this from the list, which can be moved backwards, and put this on a second list containing the deferred tasks. So you can be sure that you will not forget anything and fall back on the list at any time, as soon as your everyday life has calmed down a bit.

Crying for no reason - because of drugs
A variety of medications have the unpleasant side effect of causing symptoms of depression, especially contraceptives like the pill. Read the leaflet that comes with the medicine you need to take. It is usually stated there, whether it can come to depression symptoms.
In a second step, you can go to your family doctor or, in the case of contraceptives, to the gynecologist and talk to him about crying for no reason and suspecting that the medications are the cause. Together with your doctor, you can consider what to do in the next step, usually, you will receive a different dose drug.

I cry for no reason - because of depression
If there is no repressed problem or drugs that are responsible for your mood, you may be suffering from depression. You do not have to be ashamed of that, it does not mean you are "ready for the slaps". Depression is a serious disease. It's a hard step to say, "I'm crying for no reason because I'm depressed."

If you suspect that you are crying because of depression for no reason, you should consult a doctor who will refer you to a psychotherapist who will plan the next steps with you (talk therapy / possibly antidepressants). In order to take this not so easy route, you can ask a trusted person to accompany you if it makes it easier for you to face the depression.
