In this photo I captured breathtaking view on Pico del Teide with my favourite colourful gecko mug ;) It is the highest point of Spain and of the islands in Atlantic. Really worth getting there, cause the 360 view is just breathtaking, if it's not cloudy.

So I do probably have something better in my "portfolio" but for me this one fits perfectly into - "anything that was made by us humans, or aliens".
This peculiar statue was found in the middle of Lake Manyara National Park near Arusha in Tanzania, by a total coincidence as I had a typical travelling disease and needed a sweet palce to rest ( that was lion-free ).

This is one of the best pieces of street art I´ve seen so far. Not sure if it was painted by human hands! 😉

What a fun theme! Here's my Amateur entry. Upcycling is a great way that contributes to sustainability. It also boasts some benefits comparing to recycling. In this DIY home studio in the old district in Havana, seemingly useless stuff like old newspapers and wires were upcycled into cool figures:

If you are interested to see more creative upcycled objects I found in different places, feel free to check out my old post. :)

Sometimes, alcohol is purchased with the quality of the bottle in mind. This bottle once contained a vodka of questionable quality, and was pretty much overpriced. But I had to have the bottle. And then I discovered that a perfect companion to a great empty bottle is food coloring. So this bottle sits in my window and gets some pretty cool morning sun, shining blue through my front room.

I am a beginner in the contest and also in photography. I met up with @derangevisions yesterday at Andersonville. I use my phone right now for taking my pictures and he told me to take a picture that was not landscape and I thought my phone would have the black lines on each side of the picture as I have seen that is what usually happens. I tried it anyway and this is the picture that I took. I also had him giving me tips on taking pictures throughout the time we walked around talking and taking pictures. I think out of all the pictures I took yesterday this is my favorite, as I learned something and became more excited about photography. Thank you for the little lessons as we walked and talked @derangevisions

Ooo I found one that I really like from my travels to Bremen, Germany.

Just gotta make it happen in real life now~

Thanks for the contest.
This is my entry:

https://steemit.com/photography/@sina-adventure/it-s-all-about-the-bike

I like bikes and i try to take a good shot of my bike when ever possible. In my opinion it's one the best invention of human kind. One of those few that have nearly no disadvantages for the nature.

Pic has once again been taken in India - this time in Jodhpur. This thingie on the picture is called Mehrangarh and is one of the largest Indian forts.

I loved those birds flying around the castle. It made it look a bit like from some movie. There's always this moment in films when hero looks up on the seemingly unconquerable castle of some bad king and there are eagles and vultures flying above it :D It reminded me of such scene a bit :D

WashingtonMonument.jpg

The Washington Monument, designed in the simple shape of an ancient Egyptian obelisk, was built in honour of George Washington. Constructed between 1848 and 1884 it was the tallest structure in the world at the time of completion, until the construction of the Eiffel Tower in France in 1889. The monument however remains the world's tallest stone structure standing 554 feet 7 11/32 inches (169.046 m) tall.

It has an aluminum apex, which at the time of casting was the largest piece of aluminum in the world with Aluminum being relatively unknown having a value similar to silver. The slight change in shading of the marble at 46m (150ft) came from a halt in construction between 1854 and 1877 due to lack of funds and the civil war with construction eventually resuming from a different source of stone. National Mall, Washington DC, United States of America.

I took this shot with a Canon EOS 6D and a Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II prime at ISO 100, f/22 and 1s exposure time.

My entry is part of a magazine assignment to illustrate nostalgically a long gone era where writing, drinking or simply touching everyday stuff was a source of delight!
For me the nostalgia is double since I shoot this with my beloved Hasselblad, in slide film 6x6 cm. The scanning is not perfect but I think that it serves the mood well :)

Man Made Photograph
DSC_8584.jpg

My entry to Deranged Photography Contests with the theme "Man-Made". So I'm presenting my favorite anime character as a man-made toy in a man-made park. The photo is also made by a man. How's that for being "man-made"? hahaha

Im just so out of photos to be part of this contest. So I think not just "outside the box" but thinking that there's no box. XD

This is my first ever entry, so I hope I’ve done it correctly.
I shot this tiny planet style photo on my small 360 camera in the botanical gardens with my family.
We are standing in a gorgeously designed atrium dome pergola type thing. It is a beautiful piece of architecture that you walk across a rope bridge to get to.

I love geometric shapes and accentuating them.

This my entry to @derangedvisions photo contest Man-Made:

Barranquilla Cathedral. This is one of the largest Catholic churches in Colombia. Its construction took 28 years, mainly due to financing problems of the work.

About the photo

It's the pinnacle of the National Martyrs' Memorial of Savar, Dhaka, Bangladesh. The address of this place: Nabinagar, Dhaka-Aricha Highway, Ashulia, Savar, Dhaka-1344, Bangladesh. It's the symbol; in the memory of the velour and the sacrifice of all those peoples who gave their lives for the victory of their country in the Bangladesh Liberation War of 1971 and that brought independence to Bangladesh and to it's people. It was commenced at 16th December, 1982. The top of this monument is 150 feet high and that consists total 07 triangular monuments and you can see four of them in this photo. An architect named Moinul Hossain; was the designer of this beautiful monument. Of 108 acre of land, it is really a fantastic scenic beauty. It has forests in there. However, this photo was taken at the time when this monument was being cleared of dust. Just look at the photo, it's background color of the clear sky and this monument makes this photo as it was edited or it was over a colored background.

Inspired by the quote from Evil Queen, Lucille La Verne, in the Snow White movie, directed by David Hand et al (1937).
The sculpture of a Balinese woman I found at the cashier desk of a gym in Jakarta on Wednesday 2 May 2018.
I ask permission gym attendant to borrow the woman and put it in front of the nickel-plated barbell.

This is one of our favourite pictures. One of the oldest man-made artifacts invented in the 9th century during the medieval Chinese Tang Dynasty. Fireworks has evolve a lot on the past thousand years but their main objective remains exactly the same since the day one, to explode. Nikon Coolpix P100 4" F8.3 ISO80
