Hello Steemians,

First, we want to thank you for all nice comments on our previous post. We really love to hear every opinion and it means a lot to us. When you are working in the creative industry, you never really know what every new day will bring you and while you create different stories for others, you never have enough time to speak about the creative process itself.

We hope that Steemit will change this for us, so today we are going to share one of the event projects we did two years ago. We hope you will have fun reading it because we really had a great time developing it from the scratch to the final event.

OUR TASK

Our friends from Ninamedia Company decided to celebrate their 14th birthday and launch the party for more than 500 guests. Our task was to create the creative concept – from the theme and visual identity to music line up and all A/V materials.

“Ninamedia is a company which has been in the business of media monitoring and analysis of media contents, translation services and archiving of media contents since 2002, whereas in late 2007, the company launched also market research and opinion poll services by implementing new software solutions and methodologies in research projects.”

OUR IDEA

Well, we wanted to create concept which will support the presentation of five company sectors – clipping, research, analytics, translations and production with their specific results, in the way which will not be boring to the guests since this was the party after all :-)

So the brainstorming started. That year we had some really important space discoveries – there was a New Horizons success in Pluto scanning and NASA told us that there could be water on Mars. Of course, December was the month for the new Star Wars movie premiere and something whispered to us that this can be a trail which will lead us to our idea. On the other hand, Ninamedia with its sectors was similar to the ship which can serve its clients with different services crucial to their market success.

And we got it.

We decided to create the Ninamedia 14 Mothership, where every sector will be presented as an independent space vehicle, while all party guests will be attendants on unforgettable travel through time and space. We create every ship to represent his specific results and core functions within the company.

So here they are:

Clipping Cowboy

The light speed is its natural way of moving through the media universe. Its crew counts over 5 million successful flights. For Clipping Cowboy there is only one rule - if it is not in the Ninamedia Clipping report then it didn’t happen. You will notice that its gun fires many small bullets – which symbolize the news which are part of every press clipping report.

Research Jumper

Every Jumper's discovery expands our reality. This ship is proud of the fact that he contributed to the discovery of over 1,000 new worlds. We take the planet as a symbol for every research result – as you can see on the top of its beam.

The Productor

A powerful ship on the quest for revealing the borders of our universe in high resolution. His gun represents the broadcasting signal.

Star Analyzer

This ship is the pride of the Ninamedia Fleet, with over 2000 successful flights during which he collected and processed intergalactic data. You will notice the specific shape of his beams – they represent the input of data which will be analyzed.

Sky Talker

He has helped us to understand 27,000 cultures, and it is believed that he creates new languages in the spare time. Its gun represents the translation process.

Now we took the old arcade style graphics for this project for several reasons. We wanted it to be familiar to all generations and to be easily adapted to different materials. On the other hand, complex graphics could distract focus from the party.

INVITATION

First, we made “save the date” digital invitation, which was followed by the printed invitation made as a Ninamedia Mothership boarding pass.

Hard copy invitation held all specific information with a special riddle which answers revealed the music line up for the party. It is important to say that this is always the secret, and many guests are trying to find out which band will play every year. So we wanted to give them a chance :-)

Riddle 1:
Oh, you have to believe in yesterday to solve the first riddle.

Riddle 2:
For the second one, you must hear the call of distant Mercury.

Riddle 3:
And finally, you must have some sympathy and some taste to get a satisfaction.

Remember we said that we were planning the travel through space and time. Well, we picked The Beatles, Queen and The Rolling Stones tribute bands for this party :-)

So we had the concept and all the elements and we continue with the making of materials that would be played on the LED screen. Now, we won’t bother you with the whole timeline, but here is the welcoming screen animation.

And during the party, we occasionally played loop video of the Mothership and sector ships. Every ship had its presentation screen where we combined the details about it with sector results.

But that wasn’t all. We wanted to give some life to our ships and we made a simple game in Unity engine, so the guests can take the role of space pilots and ride their favorite Ninamedia ship in the old school arcade space shooter.

We thought it would be great to share this game with you because the party was the only time we presented it to the public. If you want to give it a try here is the link for download – we never really shared it before until now, so enjoy :-)

And after all, here are some photos from the party. We had a great time there, and the atmosphere was just as it should be – wild and fueled!
