Coconut kisses are a traditional Venezuelan dessert. Although each region has its own recipe for this typical sweet, in this recipe we offer you a simple, fast and economical preparation. Read on and discover how to make Venezuelan coconut kisses.
Ingredients:
1 kilogram of wheat flour
1 unit of Dry Coconut
250 grams of Margarine
1 glass of water
100 grams of sweet aniseed grains
1 unit of Paper
Steps to follow to make this recipe:
1
First cook the paper with the glass of water, the margarine and the sweet anise until it dissolves completely. Once these ingredients have been mixed, let it cool down a little.
2
Then remove the coconut pulp and grate. Take a large bowl and mix the grated coconut with the cooked paper. Afterwards, sift the flour and gradually add it to the dough in the container.
3
When a dough with a sticky consistency has been obtained, take a medium spoon and form little balls with it. The coconut balls are placed on a previously greased baking tray. The oven must be preheated to 180ºC.
4
Once the balls are placed, bake the coconut kisses for 25 minutes, or until we see that they are ready. When they are done, remove them from the oven and serve. If desired, sprinkle with grated coconut or sugar.
