Hallo liebe Community,

ich habe eben meinen neuen FireTV Stick angeschlossen. Diesen hatte ich bestellt, weil der allererste, den wir uns geholt hatten, inzwischen so lahm ist, dass manche Apps gar nicht laufen wollen oder erst nach dem dritten bzw. vierten Versuch.

Am Netzwerkkabel war der Stick nicht dran, habe zwar einen Adapter, aber den nutze ich nicht. Der Stick hat direkt angefangen Updates herunterzuladen und irgendwann kam die Meldung, ob ich mich in meinem Konto oder einem anderen Konto anmelden will.

Ich finde das ja einerseits toll, dass ich sofort ohne viel Aufwand loslegen konnte. Kein Wlan Passwort, kein Amazon Passwort war nötig.

Aber nun frage ich mich, wie funktioniert das und wie sicher ist das? Was wäre, wenn bei der Lieferung der Stick verloren gegangen wäre? Können diese Daten von dem Stick ausgelesen werden? Darauf müssen ja zumindest die WLAN-Daten darauf gewesen sein.

Oder hat der FireTV Stick mit meinem anderen Stick kommunizieren können, um die Daten zu erhalten?

Wer weiß es? Das interessiert mich ja jetzt doch ein wenig oder auch etwas mehr.

I have just connected my new FireTV Stick. I ordered this one because the very first one we got is now so lame that some apps won't run at all or only after the third or fourth attempt.

The stick was not connected to the network cable, I do have an adapter, but I don't use it. The stick started downloading updates straight away and at some point a message appeared asking whether I wanted to log into my account or another account.

On the one hand, I think it's great that I was able to get started straight away without much effort. No wifi password, no Amazon password was necessary.

But now I'm wondering how it works and how secure it is. What would happen if the stick was lost on delivery? Can this data be read from the stick? At least the WLAN data must have been on it.

Or was the FireTV stick able to communicate with my other stick in order to obtain the data?

Who knows? I'm a little or a little more interested in this now.
