Die Bibliothek war gut besucht an diesem heißen Sommertag. Im Zeitalter von E-Books und der Digitalisierung vieler Bücher scheint archiviertes Wissen in meterlangen Bücherregalen obsolet. Dass Büchereien auch bei digital natives ihren Platz gefunden haben, liegt am vielfältigen Angebot.

im Rahmen des Literaturfestivals mit einem umfangreichen Programm zu einem Besuch ein. In Deutschland wird jährlich am 24. Oktober beim "Tag der Bibliotheken" mit speziellen Veranstaltungen auf die wichtige Funktion der Büchereien als Kultur- und Bildungsinstitution aufmerksam gemacht.

Sehr schöne Bibliothek, ein echter Kulturtreffpunkt.
So eine große Bücherei habe ich tatsächlich das letzte Mal während der Ausbildung von innen gesehen. Aber in der benachbarten Kleinstadt bin ich schon öfter drin.
Ich hoffe, ich gelte nicht als Kulturbanause, wenn mir die Tomaten in der Badewanne am besten gefallen. Ist ja immerhin Agrarkultur... 😉

Auf der Dachterrasse würde ich auch gerne mal entspannen.
Dabei würde ich mich auch nicht von einem Buch "stören" lassen wollen... ;-) (kleiner Scherz am Rande).
Wie gewohnt ein klasse Beitrag. Diese Art der Architektur gefällt mir übrigens sehr. Alles, was futuristisch aussieht, aber auch Bauhaus Stil mag ich sehr.

Auf der Dachterrasse kann man echt gut chillen und eine Filmvorführung unter Sternenhimmel hat auch eine ganz besondere Atmosphäre.
Minimalismus in der Architektur schätze ich sehr, wobei ich auch historischen Gebäuden einiges abgewinnen kann. Dabei fasziniert mich vor allem die Baumeister- und Handwerkskunst vergangener Zeiten, die ohne technische Hilfsmittel, wie wir sie heute kennen, entstanden ist.

Otto Wagner, der große Architekt der Jahrhundertwende hat nicht das Gebäude der Hauptbücherei entworfen, sondern die Stadtbahn, über der die Bücherei errichtet ist.

beim Eintritt in eine Bücherei begleiten mich immer zwei Gefühle und eine Frage. Beeindruckt von der Vielfalt, neidisch weil ich sie nicht mit nachhause nehmen kann und: "Wie lange habe ich Zeit."
Kein Wunder, dass neben unserer Welt auch noch die Bücherwelt existiert, in der du die andere Welt vergessen kannst.

I am in Sylhet, often needing to come to Dhaka for many needs.
