Do you like playing Space Engineers but would like to play more detailed space battles? How about commanding a squadron of bombers or fighters, and a small fleet of frigates? How about a tactical view over the battlefield? These elements are going to be the core gameplay of the hobby project that I am working with.

If you have played with any kinds of real-time strategy games, elements such as resources, soldiers & workers, strategic and defensive buildings would be familiar to you. I take the RTS genre and add both sandbox and tactics, combine them into an abomination of a genre.
The ideas around this game is formed by these games I've played since childhood:
- Battleships Forever
- Homeworld 1 & 2
- Warzone 2100
- Earth 2150
- C&C Red Alert 2 and Tiberium Sun
- Mech Warrior
Think of like this, you control your primary battleship that will act as both as your base and a controllable ship. Losing the base means losing the game. All ships will be planned as customizable from chassis to modules. Even weapon systems will be gimped.
It almost like the scope is too big for me, as a solo developer, but have that kind of goal in my own pace is not a problem at the moment.
